Itinerary

  • Three Gorges Museum

    At 8:30 am, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby in Chongqing. You will start the city tour by private vehicle with your guide. Firstly you will head to Three Gorges Museum that is a must-see site in Chonging housing the relics from stone age to Qing Dynasty. The exhibitions for Three Gorges Project, and the Anti-Japanese Period are impressive in the museum.

  • Ciqikou (Porcelain Port)

    Then you will go to the old town of Ciqikou. Located by the Jialin River, Ciqikou town is a well-known port since ancient time. Today there are well-preserved old buildings, shops, restaurants etc. You will enjoy the local life in this old town. You will enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Yangtze River Cableway

    In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Road Zhongshansi, there are old offices to commemorate the period of Anti-Japanese during Second World War. It is a quite interesting experience to take cable car across the Yangtze River before moving to Hongyadong that were stilts houses in the past, and now it is shopping area to explore local souvenirs, food etc.

  • Jiefangbei Square

    Continue from Hongyadong to Jiefangbei that is a well-known shopping street for food and all kinds of goods. You will be transferred back to your hotel after tour is finished.

Ciqikou is a very old part of Chongqing, it is very ancient but lively. I thing it is older than Chongqing is . The are I seen was like an alleyway lined with vendors mostly selling many different Chinese foods. It should be on your list of things to tour if you get the chance. I was there in April of 2005
