  • Gallipoli National Park

    Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park established in 1973 and included in the UN List of National Parks and Protected Areas, covers 33.000 hectares at the southern end of the Gallipoli Peninsula on the European side of the Dardanelles. The park includes memorials, monuments, cemeteries, the natural beauty of the Ariburnu Cliffs and Salt Lake. The beauty of the green hills, sandy beaches and blue waters provides an honorable resting place for the soldiers who bravely fought and died in this historic battle

Magical Day and must do activity

This was our favorite experience in turkey hands down. These two brothers took us into the world war 1 battlefields but in such a way that we had the landscape to ourselves. We spent just enough time cycling through the farmland and battlefields, eating fruit off the trees and enjoying the breathtaking views. Then we swam and paddleboarded around the same harbor that the British, Irish, Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders stormed to fight the turks and Germans. Finally, we ate an amazing homemade picnic lunch. All in nature and away from the crowds. It was a magical day and a must do tour. We were even picked up from our hotel as an unexpected inclusion.
