Overview

Join our exclusive Oktoberfest tour with a small group for a truly unforgettable experience of Bavarian culture! Our tour has a max of 8 customers and includes a guide clad in traditional clothing (Lederhosen or Dirndl) a Bavarian Weisswurst Frühstuck (Traditional Breakfast) at a local beer hall or other breakfast option. A short downtown beer history tour in Munich after breakfast, public transport tickets, private guided brewery tour for 40 minutes with homemade Oktoberfest beer, history and traditions of the Oktoberfest, Oktoberfest table reservations from 12pm for at least 4 hours, Traditional Brotzeitteller (meats, cheese and bread snack platter), 3 Mass beer (Liters!) and a large meal and dessert included, Guided etiquette to ordering beer, food, festival rides and attractions, and beer drinking songs. Tips and tricks to the secrets of Oktoberfest (the locals' insights) with maps of Munich and the park grounds​ and much more!

Meeting points

Meet at 9am in front of the Glockenspiel Tower of the Neues Rathaus (New City Hall). This is the tallest tower on the square. Guide will have a white sign for The Thirsty Historian

Tour finishes at the Oktoberfest park in one of the large beer tents after a full 8 hour tour. Guests will be provided maps and tips for their stay and advice to return to Munich's old town or lodging.

Oktoberfest all inclusive - the best time.

Sabri was sensational. We loved our day with a group of ten. We were so happy to meet Jonathan, Gina, Gayle, Doug, Jeff and the rest of the group. We had so much much fun. We went to a few breweries and had some beer of course. The we went to the large tent in the park where Oktoberfest takes place. It was very tight but what a great experience. We sang, drank, ate, drank, sang and drank for several hours. Sabri was such a good tour guide and really made our day exceptional and a day we will never forget.

Such an amazing experience! Our guide Sabri was amazing as was Levi, our tour organizer. We typically prefer to explore on our own, but this tour sounded interesting and fun. It did exceeded every expectation!!!

The Thirsty Historians all inclusive Octoberfest tour was awesome! The drinks were amazing, the food was better, and the knowledge and shared experiences throughout Munich were even better! A brewery opened specifically for us on the tour so we could see their brewery and how it worked! Then the beer tent and food at the end honestly felt like an added bonus, not part of the tour. I couldn't recommend this any more and if do Octoberfest again, I will be a repeat customer!

If you are reading the reviews to find out if this activity is worth it, the answer is 100%….YES!!! Every minute, every penny was absolutely worth it. We went on a whim, as we had last minute schedule clearing on our business trip. Looking back at the day we spent with our guides, we were very lucky to have been able to book this tour last minute. Can’t believe it wasn’t sold out. Especially since they like to keep the groups small and cozy. I don’t want to go on to long with this review so here’s what I can say: Book the tour. Book it early. Go with friends. Dress in Bavarian clothing ( we didn’t, big mistake) You will have the best Oktoberfest experience. You will meet a guide in the morning and leave a friend at the end of the day. Thanks Sabri, you are the greatest. Prost!
