Overview

On this tour you will depart from Sydney and head out to the countryside and the World Famous Cabot Trail where you will take a ride on a cable pulled ferry, have numerous photo stops, enjoy comfort stops at local cafes, learn about the history of the island and marvel at the views the Trail offers. You will also get a chance to learn about the local fishing industry on the island, and visit Cape Breton Highlands National Park, where you will see sights like Ingonish Beach, Freshwater Lake, Keltic Lodge and Destination Cape Smokey.

On this tour you will travel usually the Eastern Side of the world famous Cabot Trail as far as the Ingonish district with numerous photo stops as you travel along and a comfort stops enroute as well.

The tour usually uses the Ingonish district as the turnaround point and you will have the opportunity for lunch here at your own expense as well as visiting sights like the Keltic Lodge Hotel, Ingonish Beach, Freshwater Lake and Destination Cape smokey

Jax was a wonderful tour guide. He was polite, knowledgeable and intelligent. We did the east side of the Cabot Trail which was very beautiful.

Better than Booking through the Cruiseline!!!

Our driver, Nandesh #68…aka ‘Nick’ was wonderful! The taxi was cleaned and well maintained. We were very unsure what we wanted to do or where we could go, given we got off the cruise ship a little later than everyone else that day. He worked with us & we were able to go up to the highest most beautiful point for viewing near the ski resort, and all the way down to the beach in the Park. We saw a lot, and really crammed it all in. We didn’t stop for lunch, and didn’t linger in hopes to see as much as we could - he was fine with at that! We stopped at several photo op points, a chocolate shop, viewed a glass blowing demo, and more. Only negative was that we were told we could use a credit card before we jumped in the car, and as we wrapped up after 5 hours, we were told we needed to pay cash. We couldn’t do that so we had to wait for another driver with a square app payment machine to meet us in town.

This tour was just beautiful. The scenery is amazing and far exceeded our expectations. Manny was our driver and he was an expert iPhone picture taker and we got so many great shots just because he was our tour guide. I would definitely recommend.
