Overview

The experience of exploring Madeira with Adventure Trikes is an experience not to be missed! You have open views from all angles, experiencing the different micro-climates as we climb to contrasting heights. Breathe in the fresh smells of eucalyptus and pine, riding on all of the old roads and through the tunnels. Capturing breathtaking views as we go through roads that are nestled in the mountains. Exploring and going through waterfalls. We also go into Curral das feraras(Nuns Valley). Where is speculation as thats one of the craters of the volcano? Some spectacular views. If you are a beer drinker you can try the chestnut beer which is exclusive to Nuns Valley. Time permitting we stop for free Madeira Wine Tasting. You can also try the local Poncha at Câmara de Lobos (fishing village). Our professional Guides will also take photos at all the different points and end of the tour they will be sent to you. Free of charge.

  • Cabo Girao

    Our accredited guide will pick you at any Hotel in Funchal, Custormise a 3 hour private tour on many of our options which you can decide on the day what you would like to experience.

  • Valley of the Nuns

    Our Guide will pick you up at any Hotel or Port in Funchal. He will explain all the different option you will have in our 3 hours Private Tour. We can ride for 45min to a Heights of 1089 meters above sea level, to the view point of Nuns Valley where speculation as it that its one of the craters of the Vulcano. Also know for its chestnuts. We also go into Nuns Valley where we experience these beautiful views from inside the crater. For beer drinkers if you want to stop and try a chestnut beer?

  • Cristo Rei (Jesus Statue)

    Our Guide will pick you up at any Hotel or Port in Funchal. Explain all the different options that you have for our 3 hour Private Tour. A 30min ride to the Crist Statue with beautiful views on the way of Funchal and the Harbour. Time permitting we can head on to the Câmara de Lobos where Winston Churchill did his painting of the bay.

  • Ponta Do Sol

    Our Professional Guide will pick you at any Hotel or Port in Funchal. We will go past Câmara de Lobos( Fishing Village) if you like we can stop for a Poncha Madeira local drink or free wine Tasting. Then to Glass Sky Walk. Along the West coast past Ribeira Brava to Ponta Do Sol where we go through old Tunnels some old roads on the side of the mountain through beautiful waterfalls. If time allows we stop at Madelina do Mar on the beach for coffee.

Amazing experience This is the second time I have booked with them. Very good communication from start to finish and lovely pictures at the end. We learnt a lot and saw some amazing sights. Personal service for 3hrs and can fully understand everything we were told. Will book again if I return and highly recommend.

Great 3 hour trike tour

Absolutely the best way to experience the sites of Funchal and surrounding area. John, the owner/operator of Adventure Trikes was our host for this three hour tour. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history and modern day development of his island. One cannot match the open air experience of riding on the back of John's trike as you navigate the streets of old town and modern day Madeira. Recommend 100%.

Amazing experience ..Garth our driver so friendly and knowledgeable about Madeira felt safe on the bike was apprehensive as never been on a bike before first time for everything even in your sixties !!!! Booking on-line really easy and communication really good picked us up from hotel on time saw the most amazing views of Madeira three hours past so quickly .Will definitely book again next time in Madeira .
