Overview

On a privately chauffeured basis day tour, hike through Samaria alongside our expert guide by tailoring the route at your own pace. Start at Omalos plateau and finish at the fishing village of Agia Roumeli overlooking the spectacular views of the Libyan Sea. In between? Hiking downriver in the footsteps of the mythological Cretan Titan who stabbed earth descending 18 km on the Southside of White Mountains by creating the geological masterpiece of Samaria canyon. Agia Roumeli is the place where the great canyon meets the sea. It is the seaside fishing village where you are going to take a vitalizing dip in the azure warm waters of South Crete and then taste the delicious cuisine at the family restaurants. It is also the place where you will take the boat for the Hora Sfakion where your private driver will meet and take you back in the comfort of a luxury chauffeured vehicle. Excellent experience

We had a truly wonderful hike with George . He is extremely experienced and had all the tools necessary for us along the way . He was able to help pace us and keep us safe while having a lot of fun . He even reached out the night before to ensure we had proper foot wear !

Thank you a thousand times to Chara, our guide for this beautiful day of hiking. We were really happy that we took a private guide for this adventure, has it is a really long hike. And it was nice to have someone who knows the place and the surroundings. Chara was an amazing guide, she was really kind, polite and really interesting about the history of the gorges. She also had a good sense of humour, she made our day. She brought us in a local restaurant at the end of the day and we really enjoyed our cretan lunch. Also, our drivers Stefanos and Antonis were driving very carefully, they were really kind and respectful. They welcomed us at the end of our journey with fresh fruits, that was really thoughtful of them.
