Overview

The 8 mile whitewater stretch through the Snake River Canyon takes you through mix of calm sections where you'll be able to take in the scenery and wildlife, and exciting rapids. On this smaller 8 man raft your paddling skills will be put to the test as your guide leads you into the big waves of Kahuna and Lunch Counter, so be prepared to paddle hard and have a blast getting soaked!

    We are pretty confident that this 8-mile stretch of whitewater has the highest concentration of laughter in the state of Wyoming. With class II and III rapids such as The Lunch counter and The Big Kahuna, and even an underwater waterfall aptly named Champagne, this river will thrill and delight you. And with inspiring limestone cliffs, hills of Lodge pole Pine, and the mountain peak horizon of the Grey’s National Forest, the scenery will surely impress you. This is the moment in your vacation that you’ll write home to grandma about—that is, if she’s not already in the boat with you!

Rafting the snake

Whitewater rafting, a must do!!

We booked a whitewater rafting experience thru Dave Hanson website for a family of four (kids under 10), the process was seamless and the prices were very reasonable, the check in process was easy and everyone involved was super friendly and professional, the experience was a little over an hour, the raft guide was great and experienced. We had a wonderful time hitting some rapids and taking a dip in the fresh and crisp Snake River waters, we loved our outing and we would do it again!

Delaney was our guide and she was wonderful!! We had a blast and would definitely do it again!! Recommend the wetsuit especially in September.

Whitewater Rafting was a blast!

We had a great whitewater rafting excursion with Dave Hansen Whitewater. It was our second whitewater rafting experience and the first in Class II and III rapids. It was a blast and we felt safe! Our guide Ben was great! He was knowledgeable (as were all staff members we met), gave clear instructions and was a lot of fun! Rafts, life jackets and rafts were in good condition. A great time for all ages just need to be mobile. We would absolutely go with this Dave Hansen Whitewater again and highly recommend.

Amazing and rewarding

If you are on the fence just do it! I am a first timer and was really questioning my decision then once I got there I realized everyone else was scared too. After meeting the staff and Delaney our team leader I felt so comfortable and I knew just to trust her and right away I started enjoying my experience. We saw bald eagles and the scenery was just amazing! I am so glad I decided to do it and I will forever cherish my experience.
