Overview

Immerse yourself in the majestic beauty of the Pacific Ocean and experience the world’s best location to view whales in the wild on a three-hour tour from Victoria, British Columbia. The Juan de Fuca and Haro Strait are renowned for their ample wildlife, including animals such as resident and transient Killer Whales, Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, seals, sea lions and many marine birds! Zodiac vessel tours are for the more wild at heart, letting the wind blow in your hair and be exposed to the true west coast elements in an open style, 12 passenger vessel. For all guests we offer complimentary shuttle pick up from all hotels in downtown Victoria.

Itinerary

Three hours in length, April through October are the ideal whale watching months. In this peak season, we boast a greater than 95% success rate of spotting whales, including both transient & resident orcas, humpback, minke, & gray whales! Other wildlife you may encounter include Stellar and California seal lions, harbour and elephant seals, otters & marine birds such as cormorants and bald eagles. Unlucky tour? Great trip!

Great tour and well worth it. Captain Mick is so enthusiastic and takes delight in finding wildlfe away from the crowds. He knows the area so well and we saw humpback, harbour seals, sea otters, bald eagles and even a pelican! Mick knows so much about animal behaviour and this pays off on the tour. Well-organised and friendly team.

An excellent whale watch

I have been on over 40 whale watch trips across the world, and this was up there! Mick, our captain and guide, was fantastic. Found orcas quickly, as well as humpbacks, sealions, seals and a bald eagle. His commentary was fun and interesting and the three hours flew by despite the cold day! I would definitely recommend.

Was an absolutely wonderful tour ! We saw humpback whales, sea lions, hawks, jellyfish, OCRA’s - tick ! The tour was the perfect amount of time, the boat was zippy and comfortable. Our guide Mick was brilliant, he made the tour, he was wildlife passionate and made us feel very safe.

Absolutely amazing! Martin was such a fun and cool tour guide. We seen humpbacks, orcas and seal lions. We had the most amazing day to top off our trip! Thank-you. We are so excited to come back to Victoria. Unreal trip!
