Overview

This 3 hour tour is specifically designed for cruise ship guests arriving to Victoria, BC, Canada. It includes easy and convenient pick up directly at the cruise ship terminal in Victoria and guaranteed on time return to the terminal from your local guide. Early morning and evening arrivals tour start times are also available, see our website for more options. Fall in love with the city by seeing its beauty, charm and friendly character.

Meeting points

Located 150 feet from the exit doors of either cruise terminals. Please indicate your ship's name with your booking and we will meet you at the correct terminal. Once you are through customs, come over and introduce yourself at our kiosk near the terminal building exit and meet your guides.

Itinerary

  • Ogden Point Terminal

    Begin with a short trek along the gorgeous coastline, and see some of the natural features and what lies underneath the ocean surface. Enter one of Victoria’s oldest and friendliest neighborhoods—James Bay. You will see some of loveliest homes and gardens in town. Many of the homes were hand built and conform to the city’s heritage status bylaws by keeping the original character and colors of the 19th century. As you roll through the community, a stop can be made at the oldest local grocer in town and supplier of arguably the best coffee and tea in town.

  • Carr House

    Stop at the Emily Carr House and find out more about one of Victoria's more famous (infamous) artists. If desired, guests can tour the museum, admission is by donation.

  • Beacon Hill Park

    Travel on bicycle paths and quiet lanes as you meander through Beacon Hill Park—the city’s green jewel. It features many gardens and flowering shrubs and trees including the Sun Dial Garden where more wedding photos are shot in town than anywhere else. The peacocks will respond to the Pavlovian ring of the bicycle bell and will greet you in exchange for some organic barley seeds. Ask your guide to point out the Bald Eagle’s nest and take advantage of a photo op when you cross the medieval stone bridge.

  • Old Town

    Leave the bliss of the park and enter into the spectacular inner harbour which includes the Legislative Buildings and the famous Empress Hotel. Then, head to the historic downtown core. The city comes alive when ships are in town and very often there will be street performers at every block. Pass by many shops that are preserved in their original Victorian character and very wide sidewalks allow opportunities to stop, take pictures or even venture in for a closer look. In a few blocks, the crowds will thin and you will experience the heart of Old Town.  This is some of downtown Victoria’s best locations and yet most visitors do not venture this far to experience it.

  • Victoria’s Chinatown National Historic Site

    Pass through the Gates of Harmonious Interest and explore Canada's oldest Chinatown. Take a peek down Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest street in Canada, and time permitting grab a snack or souvenir from one of the local shops.

  • Please note that if your cruise cannot dock due to poor weather or other reasons a full refund is provided on your reservation
  • A minimum of 2 people is required at time of booking
  • Mobility scooters can be stored with the security guards at the terminal for pickup at the end of the tour and guests do not need to get off the bicycle during the tour.

Wonderful sights presented by excellent entertainer

Our ship arrived on a Sunday morning before Canadian Thanksgiving just at the start of the Victoria Marathon. All the roads were shut down so there were no shuttle buses, cabs or UBERs. We hooked up with Soren Russow and his 4 person electrically assisted pedicab for a 2.5 hour tour of Victoria. We went to all the places described in this itinerary. This was more than a tour because Soren was not just our driver, he was our performer. He took pictures of us with our phones at all the most appropriate places and he told us stories at each stop acting out the parts of a ghost, an old man, and other famous characters. He even played a melodious tune on a unique flute instrument. He had lots of very authentic voices and routines. He seemed to know everyone and waved and talked to people on the street as we traveled. He was able to navigate garden paths and shortcuts to avoid the route of the marathon and yet still take us to all the important places. We went with two other people so he was towing 4 of us in his rig. We have been to Victoria several times before on cruise ships and 3 times driving our own car but Soren took us places we have never been. Victoria was about 2/3ds of the experience and Soren was a class act all on his own to round out the other 1/3d. We had a great time.

My husband and myself got off of the cruise ship with no specific plans. We saw the pedicabs and decided to take a tour. Our guide was Jonathan Brenneman and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable and informative. It was a great tour and the weather was awesome! Keep up the good work Johnny! We even saw a live whale LOL!
