Itinerary

  • Popcorn Playa

The Northern beaches!! Yes, we do visit the Incredibly beautiful popcorn beaches in Corralejo! You will never believe what you will see! And the view of the city & the islands Lanzarote and Lobos, not to mention the crystal clear water.

    15 minutes

  • Dunas De Corrallejo (Pass By)

Many films have been made here! The place where the amazing movie Wonder Woman 1984 was made... Come along and be part of the scenic sand view of the amazing 10 kilometers of white coral beaches. If we have time enough and the weather is ok we will stop few minutes in the dunes.

  • Ajuy

Lunch time… Lunch is not included but the local Canarian restaurants on the beach have delicious local fish and goat meat & cheese etc… It is also here that you can walk over the limestone to the beautiful natural old caves or perhaps a relax walk on the black natural beach…

    45 minutes

  • Playa de Sotavento

A nine-kilometre-long pristine beach in Fuerteventura Fuerteventura should really only be translated with one word: beaches. That is why summarizing the beach of Sotavento in the south of Jandia as spectacular is easy: it is the most talked about beach on the island in the world. Its size alone, about nine kilometres long, leaves visitors speechless. At low tide, the island gains so much ground that some residents doubt whether Tenerife is the largest island of the Canary Islands! A short photo stop is included…

    10 minutes

  • Finca Benigno

Visit to a local goat farm/cheese factory. Possibility to buy fresh cheese! We rake the time to visit the local habitants “the goats” with the opportunity to purchase fresh local cheese in the goat farm ..

    30 minutes

  • Monumento Natural de Ajuy

Walk to the spectacular Ajuy caves, which are the oldest formations in the Canary Islands. They belong to the basal complex of Fuerteventura, created by the submarine flow of lava and sediment that rose to the surface and began to form the island 100 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. The rocks emerged from a depth of 3,000 metres and started to form the base that these days supports this island and that of Lanzarote. The caves are extremely important from a geological and paleontological perspective and are among the 150 sites of primary geological interest in the world. Visiting them means travelling back in time to the very origins of Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands themselves. Did you knew? • Walk to Ajuy caves are one of these examples of nature. Declared a Natural Monument in 1987, they are part of Betancuria Rural Park. • It was the place where Jean de Béthencourt, the conqueror of the Canary Islands, landed in the 15th century.

    45 minutes

  • Betancuria

Free Time to enjoy... Just stroll around and enjoy the old village. You can visit the Santa Maria Cathedral (ticket 2€), if open, take a coffee break if you wish… Or go shopping! Free time for everyone!

    45 minutes

  • Mirador Guise y Ayose

A other stunning stop and panoramia view in the mountains (669 meter high), but also the 2 statues of the gauchens appeal to the imagination!

    15 minutes

  • Mirador de las Penitas

The ravine of las Penitas. An exceptional enclave! Very characteristic place that lies in the protected area in the high mountains/volcanoes. There is also the big dam that was built in 1937. We can admire the wonders of nature here... and we might see the local habitants “the chipmucks”.

    15 minutes

  • Ermita de la Pena Trail (Pass By)

Beautiful little church of Fuerteventura’s patron “the Virgin de la Peña” … Your guide will tell you all about it. If time enough and the church is open we will visit the Ermita de la Peña …

  • Mirador Sicasumbre

Driving to the SOUTH we have the stop at the mirador Sicasumbre. A panoramic & stunning viewpoint.

    15 minutes

  • Costa Calma (Pass By)

Of course we do Sotavento & Costa Calma, The sandy southern village that became a green city with its famous beaches, Sotavento and its breathtaking lagoons… Photo stop Included.

  • N/A (Pass By)

It is located in the north of the island and includes the islet of Lobos in its municipal area, being the second largest municipality in the Canary Islands and the second most populated on the island, after Puerto del Rosario. It was the island capital from 1834, replacing Betancuria, until the transfer of the capital in 1860 to the city of Puerto del Rosario.

  • Montana de Tindaya (Pass By)

Great old volcano . The multilingual local guide has a beautiful old story ready for you.

  • Iglesia Catedral de Santa Maria de Betancuria

Historical church/museum from 1410, it used to be the Cathedral of the Canary Islands. A donation of 2€ is requested. Cash only.!

    15 minutes

  • Caleta de Fuste (Pass By)

The 2nd largest municipalities in Fuerteventura. We visit the main streets while driving so that you have a good idea about this cozy tourist village known for its Golf courses.

  • Puerto del Rosario (Pass By)

We drive past the young capital(1862), actually through the center and along the most important port in Fuerteventura. If we have time enough; We have a photo stop on the port and the lovely beach playa chica … On high tide we see the natural swimming pool of the El Charco neighborhood in Puerto del Rosario!! The guide will of course also tell you the very interesting stories here.

  • Monumento a Miguel de Unamuno (Pass By)

Beautiful statue of the famous writer of Bilbao in Mount Quemada

  • Vega de Rio Palmas (Pass By)

Known for the film Excodus and the Church of La Pena. Your guide will tell you all about it.

  • Molino de Tefia (Pass By)

The agricultural prison colony of TefĂa was a concentration camp during the Franco dictatorship, located in the village of TefĂa, belonging to the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. It was active between 1954 and 1966 and served for the incarceration of ordinary and political prisoners, and for the re-education of male homosexuals. Also the place where the first airport (1930) was and the first tourists arrived.

  • Montana de Tindaya (Pass By)

The most striking monument in the village is the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Caridad, a small temple that has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. The volcano Tindaya has been declared a Natural Monument due to the scientific importance of its geomorphological structure, as well as a point of cultural interest due to its archaeological values, especially due to the abundance of podomorphic petroglyphs and the sacred character given by the majos, first pre-Hispanic settlers of the island. It also has the presence of some rare endemisms such as Caralluma burchardii, fleshy plants with the appearance of cacti. 3 km south of the city, at the foot of Mount Quemada, stands the monument in honor of Miguel de Unamuno.

  • Pajara (Pass By)

Pájara is one of the oldest towns in Fuerteventura and was a very early settlement of Betancuria. It survived the complete destruction during the Arab invasion of 1593, when all of Betancuria was reduced to dust. The town takes its name from the hen pheasant, as shown on its coat of arms. View the sights along this beautiful route with explanations from our local guide.

  • Tequital (Pass By)

Tequital is located southeast of the municipality of Tuineje, Fueryeventura, its landscape is purely volcanic due to a large mantle of lava from the last eruptions on the island. View the sights along this beautiful route with explanations from our local guide.

  • Tarajalejo (Pass By)

During the 17th and 18th centuries, the port of Tarajalejo became the fourth most important pier in Fuerteventura and the second in the south of the island. Illustrious passengers embarked and disembarked on it, as well as all kinds of products, whether cattle, grain, food or wood. View the sights along this beautiful route with explanations from our local guide.

Great day out

Published on Dec, 2024

Great full day out seeing all of the sights. Very knowledgeable tour guide who clearly knows the island well and has lived here for many years. Fun and engaging.

Considering the sand storm we still managed to see a lot of great sights, Betancuria was small but beautiful very quaint town. Andrew was very informative from a historical perspective. We appreciated his knowledge about Fuerteventura’s past, the influence of different cultures, and the role of the island in trade routes. It gave me a deeper understanding of the island. Yes, the tour exceeded our expectations. It was well-organized, covered a good variety of locations, and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed the balance between scenic views and historical insights, which made the experience both relaxing and educational. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Don't miss this fascinating tour of the "real" mystical and beautiful Fuertaventura

Published on Nov, 2024

Fantastic journey away from the usual touristy areas exploring the unspoilt wild, rugged volcanic landscape of this beautiful island as well as remote and secluded villages. Our guide Andrew was charming, knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. As we were a small group it was easy to hear our guide and ask questions. The tour was tailored to suit the group really well. The lunch stop was in an area of outstanding beauty . I was a bit worried about the length of the tour but it went very quickly as we drove through stunning scenery. Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

The trip was well worth the money and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to see the real Fuerteventura.
