Great for solo female traveler

Felt very safe as a solo female traveler doing afternoon/evening tour with fantastic guide Juma Amir. I had already seen some of the sites on the published tour route, and he was so helpful and flexible— taking me to other fascinating historical and cultural spots in Stone Town. He also kindly waited while I popped into various shops en route (I wanted to buy some textiles from a female-owned collective and found them at Safi Sana!) He even communicated directly with my driver to ensure safe and efficient connections before and after the tour. Asante Sana!
