Overview

Your delightful journey begins at Mudbrick - one of Waiheke Island's iconic spots. Here, you will enjoy a wine tasting experience that will introduce you to the varietals grown on Waiheke Island. Afterwards, we will head to Onetangi where you will visit The Heke - a lovely craft distillery and brewery set in four acres of serene gardens. Here, you can enjoy some of the best craft beers that the island has to offer. A short distance from Onetangi lies the beautiful Stonyridge Vineyard - famous for its award-winning Bordeaux-style wines, including their signature Larose. You can relax amidst the vineyard's cool shade and enjoy a platter lunch with wine at the Veranda Café. Our journey then takes you to the renowned All Press Olive Groves. Waiheke Island is known for its unique microclimate, which produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil. During your visit, you will taste a variety of locally handcrafted extra virgin olive oils and learn about olive growing, harvesting, and milling.

Waiheke Wine Tours LTD is located on Waiheke Island, so you must take the 9am ferry from Auckland to reach the meeting point. Your tour guide will be waiting for you at 9:40am at Pier 2 of the Matiatia ferry terminal on Waiheke Island.

    Our Professional Guides will meet you at the Matiatia Wharf at 0940am am and take you on a wine tour experience like no other, we will be at the ferry terminal with a welcome board with your name on it. Waiheke Wine Tours only hire the best LOCAL guides with local knowledge on the Island to ensure you have a fantastic day out on Waiheke. Please note that the availability of vineyards is subject to change, and if necessary, vineyards of the same quality will be substituted.. We will head up to Mudbrick Vineyard with beautiful Scenery and commentary along the way.

Very Pleasant Day!

This was a very nice tour. First stop was Mudbrick for a tasting of several wines. Then off to The Heke for a spirits tasting. You could also choose beer instead of spirits. The gin and whiskey were fantastic. You could also pay for attentional tastes or drinks. Then we went to Stonybrook and had a glass of wine and a charcuterie platter to share between the two of us, which was included. I bought an additional glass. Finally, there was an olive oil tasting. It was a very pleasant day, despite wind on the island. The island itself is beautiful and Karen was a very thoughtful guide.

Kaz was a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable & passionate about Waiheke Island. We visited some lovely wineries, a gin & whiskey distillery, tasted amazing food & sampled a variety of olive oils with individual, distinctive tastes. We highly recommend this tour!

What a fabulous day! Tour Guide Grant was such a great guide. My husband and I had the most memorable day learning about wine, beer, olive oil and the Waiheke community. This is the best tour we have had in 5 years and we travel frequently. This is a day we will be talking about for years to come. A real memory maker for sure! We had to depart a little early to make an unexpected meeting and Grant was very accommodating and so professional and fun.

Unique vineyards and great scenery. Wines were about average but food and dessert offered was very good !
