Overview

Start your visit by meeting your tour guide outside of the gallery where you will receive a brief introduction to one of the most important museums in the Eternal City: Borghese Gallery and its enchanting surroundings, make the most of our reserved entry ticket and save precious time without waiting in the line. Expect to be dazzled by works from Bernini's captivating 'Apollo and Daphne' to Caravaggio's 'St. Jerome' not to mention the infamous works by Raphael and Leonardo Da Vinci. This is an art haven not to be missed on your visit to Rome.

    The Galleria Borghese is where you can find priceless masterpieces of 1st-3rd centuries, Follow our passionate guide who will show you the most fascinating and brilliant Artworks and bringing to life all the stories and events behind this structure. The main floor is mostly devoted to classical antiquities (including a famous 320–30 AD mosaic of gladiators found on the Borghese estate at Torrenova, on the Via Casilina outside Rome, in 1834), and classical and neo-classical sculpture such as the Venus Victrix. Its decorative scheme includes a trompe l'oeil ceiling fresco in the first room, or Salone, by the Sicilian artist Mariano Rossi makes such good use of foreshortening that it appears almost three-dimensional.

A Remarkable Tour of the Borghese Gallery

I had the most incredible experience touring the Borghese Gallery, all thanks to Federico! His storytelling brought the masterpieces to life, weaving the historical context with fascinating anecdotes about artists like Bernini, Caravaggio, and Raphael. Federico's insights helped me appreciate the art. The pacing of the tour was perfect—enough time to admire each piece without feeling rushed. Federico also went out of his way to answer all of our questions, making the experience feel personal and engaging.

She was extremely passionate about all of the art within this gallery and was able to give us a wonderful glimpse into the history within the walls of the building.
