Overview

Enjoy the Venice islands tour in the norther lagoon to admire Murano, Burano and Torcello in all their beauty. (the island you will visit depends on the choosen option). A guided boat tour to the Venetian lagoon to discover these marvelous places rich of history and culture. The first stop is Murano, worldwide famous for its magical glass-blowing art. Here you will visit a glass factory enjoying a demonstration by a local glass master that creates a glass artwork in front of your eyes! Then, you will see the picturesque Burano island with its multicolored houses and the delicious local cakes “bussolai”. Here you’ll spent 1 hour and half free to visit the island. The last stop is the mysterious Torcello with the oldest churches of Venice. Here the Venice Republic was born. During your journey back you’ll admire the beauty of the Venetian Norther lagoon.

    The first stop is Murano, renowned all over the world for its glass making. Murano’s art of glassmaking is considered to be a synonym of preciousness and beauty. You will have the opportunity to visit an authentic glass furnace with local craftsmen at work. During the visit you can buy some local souvenirs to keep as a memento of this incredible experience. Just take your time to discover the lovely island.

    IF OPTION IS SELECTED. Then, this visit will take you to the picturesque Burano: the island world-known for its multicolored houses and celebrated for its unique lace-making art. Do not miss the chance to visit the Main Square and the Church of San Martino with the “Crucifixion”, one of the most famous painting of Tiepolo. You will have time to have an unforgettable lunch on the island. An amazing excursion to live the real soul of the Venetian lagoon.

    IF OPTION IS SELECTEDThe last, but not the least is the quiet and sparsely populated island of Torcello, the first center of civilization in the estuary. On these island you can admire the oldest churches of the lagoon and discover how Venice was born!

    An unforgettable boat tour of the northern lagoon. You will admire the most famous islands of Venice: Murano and Burano. A multilingual guide will be with you during the visit and will explain everything about the history of the lagoon and its famous local craft productions: Murano Glass and Burano laces. I enjoy going in this tour. Every island has diffent trades that I learned many things from it and I love to shop and see the different styles of their home and building. It was a great experience.

Perfect amount of time…always could have used a few more minutes in Burano but all good times have to come to an end. This was our last day in Venice and we are glad we spent it with Claudia. Very informative and welcome to any questions we have. Ciao.
