Our hotel arranged a half day private tour for us with Geovani and Flavio going to Cisterino, Alberobello and Locorotondo. Their local knowledge and comments on the history of the towns and region were excellent and the refreshment/lunch stops were great with their knowlege of where to find authentic quality outlets. We were also pointed to a very good restaurant for dinner after the tour.

Wonderful day trip of the Val d’Itria

Delightful father and daughter guides took us around and we had a lovely and informative day visiting the towns of the Val d’Itria including Fasano with a wine tasting at the Monsignore Estate arranged at the last minute, Cisternino, Polignano and Alberobello where we arrived late afternoon and enjoyed the autumn light of the sun going down on the trullo houses. Plenty of churches for me to sing in and test the acoustics too.

Our tour was wonderful. The guides were knowledgeable about the history and culture of this area and what made each stop unique. They were flexible and able to address our interests. The lunches were amazing and we were served local specialties. We took a different tour the next day with this group and we’re just as happy with it too.
