    The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering present-day Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. The original entrance to the Great Pyramid is on the north, 17 meters (56 ft.) vertically above ground level and 7.29 meters (23.9 ft.) east of the centerline of the pyramid. From this original entrance, there is a Descending Passage 0.96 meters (3.1 ft.) high and 1.04 meters (3.4 ft.) wide, which goes down at an angle of 26° 31'23" through the masonry of the pyramid and then into the bedrock beneath it. After 105.23 meters (345.2 ft.), the passage becomes level and continues for an additional 8.84 meters (29.0 ft.) to the lower Chamber, which appears not to have been finished. There is a continuation of the horizontal passage in the south wall of the lower chamber; there is also a pit dug in the floor of the chamber

Wonderful tour of Giza and saqqara

I and my wife booked a tour of pyramids, sphinx, memphis and saqqara with egypt direct tours company and we are very satisfied with the service, guiding and the program. Our guide Mr. Naser arrived punctually at our hotel. Our driver Hasan was very kind and attentive driver. He drove the minibus which was in a very condition with great care. Our guide Mr. Naser gave us detailed information. He gave us enough time to enjoy the sites and thanks to his experience that we didn't wait in any lines anywhere. I recommend very highly Our driver Hasan and Our guide Naser to everybody who wants to do the cairo day tour. The staff of egypt direct tour company is very professional as well. The pyramids were amazing especially the camel ride. This tour managed to pack so much into our day. Our guide for the day Nasr was amazing.

Arrived in Egypt with no itinerary and asked my hotel to handle my sightseeing, that’s how I ended up with this particular agency. I spent two days with Nasser and we covered A LOT of ground. He was knowledgeable, articulate, well mannered, and most importantly, let ME control the speed and duration of my visits to each particular attraction. Nasser started as my tour guide and finished as my friend. I will leave Egypt with nothing but wonderful memories. As Nasser would say, Alhamdulillah!
