Overview

The real life of a favela, forget everything you know and come to discover it yourself! Our guides Pablo and Henrique were born in Rocinha, they’ll be delighted to tell you their story. You’ll live in immersion for a day in the largest favela of Latin America. The experience begins with the famous motorcycle taxis that will take you to admire a breathtaking view. After you going to discover a typical house with once again an incredible panorama. We’ll walk inside the bécos of Rocinha (small streets of Favela). You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about a social Capoiera project. But also other cultural points + some surprises. Regarding safety, don’t panic, the Rocinha favela is a safe place and our guides will stay with you from the beginning to the end of the tour. We look forward to having you with us.

For sure, this was one of best experiences in Rio. From exciting moto ride to the top of favela, show of local kids, breathtaking views, perfect BBQ lunch, all guided by very knowledgeable Carlos. We got so many new interesting information about favela and local life, unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Amazing time at la Rocinha!

Had an amazing time and learnt a lot of history and culture around the Favela. Henrique was really kind and knowledgeable. We had a great time and some awesome conversations came up from our inquiries. La Rocinha is a really interesting place, you can feel the community spirit in everything they do and how the inhabitants do care for each other. You catch a moto-taxi at the bottom, ride to the top and start making your way down on foot to see some Capoeira live and get into the little streets where cameras wouldn't be allowed. All in all, an amazing 3 hours walk that shows you all of the main spots in La Rocinha while getting some great views of Rio and hearing what it is like to live in a Favela. Can't recommend enough.

This tour was unreal! Carlos was super knowledgeable about the area and was a great guide. Really fun afternoon - completely changed my perception of the favelas. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
