  • Leaning Tower of Pisa

    Our friendly English speaking driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Florence to start your day going to PISA, a calm and pleasant town recalling the past of the Pisan republic. The river system in Pisa prevented it from declining towards the end of the Roman Empire. We will focus on the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Duomo is a medieval cathedral with massive bronze doors and its golden ceiling, its medieval pulpit and its black and white marble interior are breathtaking… The nearby round-shaped building is the baptistery, with an octagonal font that contrasts and a large round interior space. The Leaning Tower was the campanile (bell tower for the cathedral) started leaning shortly after its completion in 1173.

  • San Gimignano 1300

    After a stop of about 1 hour we’ll leave for SAN GIMIGNANO.The town was founded as a small village in the 3rd century BC by the Etruscan and is famous today for its wine (Vernaccia) and architecture. San Gimignano is often referred to as ‘the town of towers’, as the town has been able to preserve 14 towers from the medieval times….truly a movie set! Enjoy an informative stroll with our driver through the narrow streets of this beautiful medieval pearl.

    Is time now to proceed to SIENA but on the way we want to include a quick stop to MONTERIGGIONI, one of the best known and classic walled settlement in Tuscany. This village was built on a hill by the Sienese between 1213 and 1219 to overlook the ancient Roman road, the Via Cassia

  • Duomo di Siena

    he historic centre of Siena has been declared as the World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Its soaring skyline is its pride, dominated by the Gothic cathedral (Duomo) and the taut needle of the Torre del Mangia and yet the shell shaped Piazza del Campo, probably captures the most attention and fame. It has been seen in films, photographs, and advertising campaigns. The bricks cover the sweetly sloping land underneath and are witness to many events in history, but the most intriguing is the “Palio” horserace, one of the most important things in the life of a Siena native. In the piazza on 2 July and 16 August there is a bareback horse race that was first recorded in 1283, but may have had its origins in Roman military training.Not to be missed the Palazzo Pubblico (city hall) which is a great work of architecture and houses also an important museum of Siena.

Great Tour

Great tour with a great guide. Sonny offered an alternative itinerary that perfectly met our interests. He introduced us to several beautiful Tuscan villages, ending with amazing Siena. Sonny was knowledgeable and patient with our many questions and our desire to take a zillion pictures.

We were a group of 3 couples (6 adults) and had the best day with Allesandro as our driver! We left Florence in the morning where we were picked up, along with our luggage, and we visited San Gimignano, Casa Emma Winery for a delicious lunch and wine tasting, Castellina and another nearby winery, Montefioralle and then dropped off at a private Villa were we stayed in Greve in Chianti (Villa Bordoni). Allesandro was so kind, telling us about the history of the area, while laughing and joking with us. We felt safe and well taken care of for the day. It was a great way to experience Tuscany with safe transportation. I would highly recommend!

A fantastic way to see Tuscany at your own pace choosing where you wish to go. My husband and I took this tour with our two young teenagers so it was beneficial that we were able to choose which places we wanted to see and spend time at. Our driver Matteo treated us so well from the moment he picked us up on time and in his very clean and comfortable luxury minivan. As we moved from location to location we chatted and laughed and learnt so much about Italy in general. Matteo shared many facts about Tuscany and its history. He is extremely knowledgeable, spoke English very well ( even though my Italian is basic, we still all chatted in English). He planned the day for us slperfectly checking in with us and if we wanted more or less time at various places. We were able to see everything we wanted in a very comfortable way stopping in various towns etc. The tour operator was great to deal with and I’m so glad I decided to do a private tour as opposed to a 50-60 plus people tour as the experience was tailored to us and the conversations we had with Matteo during the drive made the experience even better. He is an absolute asset to this company and really made sure we had a great experience.
