Overview

Take a full-day trip out of Mexico City to admire Taxco, a unique colonial town famous for its silver works. Taxco is a colonial city with thousands of years of history. There, you will visit one of the most beautiful churches of Mexico, Santa Prisca; built-in 1759 by the French immigrant José de la Borda; who literally ran into a huge amount of silver.     Cuernavaca is the leafy capital of the state of Morelos, surrounded by the Tepozteco mountains. Former home of the Spanish conquistador Hernán de Cortés. To the southwest is the Cuernavaca Cathedral, a 16th-century walled monastery with a mural illustrating Mexico's first saint.

  • Mina Prehispanica de Taxco

    Depart from Mexico City, where you will take the road to Taxco, the oldest mining city in America. If you have selected the option, you will discover a unique mine in this place, the famous pre-Hispanic mine, you will go down in an authentic mining elevator and explore the corridors of this mine. Inside you will observe a representation where you will learn the way in which the ancient settlers obtained the precious minerals.

I've been here on this trip before. My main reason to come again was to shop in Taxco for silver .I had the same guide again , Robyn. He's an excellent guide. Really appreciate the fact he's so cultured and loves his job He's great to talk to about culture . Very passionate about it . All the places we visited where amazing.

Taxco was amazing, particularly hearing the process for Silver. The staff at the store were amazing and helpful. Finally, Ruben our tour guide was amazing and educated us on the many historical aspects of the tour. Tomas, our driver, did a great job.
