Overview

Trastevere is one of the most beloved areas of the city! This 2.5 hours street food and walking tour starts from Tiberine Island. This neighborhood which is a labyrinth made of tiny streets, small shops, and any kind of eateries - whose name means "across the Tiber" - hides a lot of historical spots too: among them, Piazza Trilussa, dedicated to a famous Roman poet, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, probably the first Christian church in Rome, and a lot more. Local food is without doubt the leitmotiv of the tour itself, as Trastevere is full of both typical Roman takeaways and restaurants.

Delicious food tastings with a fun and entertaining guide

Did a food tour with Lucca in Trastevere and enjoyed different types of food including the best roman pizza I’ve tasted in Rome!Lucca is also very funny and it was a fun tour!

We had a rough start getting to the tour given the taxis canceling in the middle of the day but the company was more than accommodating and waited for us to find the group. Luca was very kind and knew a great deal about the area. The food portions were more than enough to fill you up and that's coming from someone who LOVES to eat. I definitely recommend this tour.

Luca our guide was exceptional! He was engaging, friendly and a wonderful guide. Above all he took very good care of the group. It was a blisteringly, hot day so he took us at a very gentle pace around Trastevere and pointed out every public water fountain we passed (of which there were many), encouraging us all to fill up our water bottles and splash water on ourselves to cool down. The tour is very good and the food we tried on the stops was wonderful, literally the best pizza I have ever had! Luca introduced us to suppli and we ordered it for the rest of our stay in Rome. Thank you Luca for making the tour so memorable.

We enjoyed this tour very much. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting to listen too, funny and nice. We visited some great places that we would have never seen otherwise and the bakery we went too had the best cannoli's I had ever had. The Supli was my favorite along with the Italian beer. I highly recommend this tour for your family. It also gave a wonderful glimpse into Trastevere and how charming it was.
