Overview

Guided visit to different traditional Bars/Taverns. Try the best churros with chocolate in Madrid. We mix gastronomy with history. So, apart from enjoying the gastronomy, you will learn more about my city and my country. Local guide expert in gastronomy and history. Small groups. Max. 10 people.

We will finish at our last stop, in Calle Arenal 5 minutes from Puerta del Sol, where we have started the tour.

Itinerary

  • Puerta del Sol

    Our gastronomic tour will start at Apple Store (Puerta del Sol) at 7:00 p.m. (In summer we start at 8:00 p.m.). I will welcome you to Madrid and I will explain a little what we are going to do during the tour.

  • Austrias

    After welcoming you at Puerta del Sol, we will go to the Autrias neighborhood, here we will stop (depending on the day) at our first gastronomic stops. You will experience the same venues that the locals go to, seeking traditional tapas such as Garlic Prawns, Sliced ​​Tomatoes, Fried Chorizo ​​or Bravas, Mushrooms (This is just an example of the tapas we could try that afternoon.)

  • Puerta del Sol

    After enjoying tapas like authentic locals, we return again to Puerta del Sol. Here I am going to describe this beautiful square, I will tell you its history and some symbols that are in it.

  • Plaza Mayor

    During our gastronomic tour we will visit iconic places in the city, such as Calle Mayor, Plaza Mayor, here I will give you a brief summary of the history of the Plaza, the most important Plaza in Madrid.

  • Tablao Flamenco Arco de Cuchilleros

    After visiting the Plaza Mayor, we enter Medieval Madrid. In this area we will stop at a classic tapas bar in Madrid.

  • Plaza de la Villa

    After finishing our 3rd tapas bar, and on the way to our last stop, the 4th, we will visit one of the most beautiful squares in Madrid. The Plaza de la Villa, here I will give you a brief and interesting summary of the square. We will also pass by the oldest restaurant in the world. Here I will tell you a brief history of the restaurant.

  • Calle del Arenal

    And to finish our gastronomic tour, we will go to one of the best churrerias in Madrid to try our churros with chocolate. This will be our 4th and last stop. We will end at Calle Arenal, 5 minutes walk from Puerta del Sol, where we started our tour.

Fun Tapas Tour!

One of the most memorable tours I have ever had. The lady guide was so funny and nice. She took us to a few tapas bars around Madrid. The food was great and the wine was even better. We ended up returning to the same bars a few times.

The food tour was fantastic! We visited three charming taverns and a delightful chocolate shop, savoring delicious food, great drinks, and wonderful company along the way. Our guide, Carmen, was bursting with personality, and her deep knowledge of Madrid and Spanish cuisine made the experience even more enjoyable. We’d gladly do it again the next time we’re in Madrid!

I would highly recommend this tour! We did the tour on our first night in Madrid, after traveling from the US. This is a great way to combat jet lag, get an overview of the city and most of all, eat great food! Carmen took us to four places where we enjoyed the food, wine and her company. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about her hometown. We were so full by the end of the night that we couldn't finish the churros and hot chocolate at the last stop.

We did this tour with Carmen...She is incredible and the tour is amazing. We had really fun, Carmen's performance is really good and we had more than 1 ítem in all restaurants. Unique.I recommend it to everybody
