Perfect for beginners

My kids aged 13 years old joined the beginners class and absolutely loved it. Teachers were really nice and encouraging.

Excellent experience

Had a wonderful day surfing on Praia de Carcavelos with my teenage son. The school made everything easy: the booking, the communications, the prep and the lessons. Danny in particular was wonderful, very attentive and enthusiastic. He kept up a steady pace and kept us catching wave after wave. He focused on each student and continued to give more and more pointers to improve our experience. A great time.

Amazing surf classes

I enjoyed some real fun classes in Carcavelos. The teachers are all great and have lots of knowledge and passion. There were good vibes, big smiles and nice waves. A big shoutout to Salvador, who always had my back, and to Danny, who encouraged me non-stop. :)

Great surfing

Our instructor Pedro couldn’t have been better making sure everyone managed to surf by the end of the lesson. If we could have managed we would have went back the next day! Well worth the money!

Great spot and great staff

Awesome shop with great staff! Easily 5/5 Any vacation time I get, I’m doing a surf trip, and it’s normally cheaper to rent boards than fly with my own. I came to these guys on my first day staying in Carcavelos. I normally surf “advanced” boards but didn’t realize I needed to reserve the advanced boards online beforehand. You can rent “intermediate” or “beginner” boards at the shop so I ended up renting an “intermediate” board that was 5’8 kinda all around board with a lotta float. The board treated me well for the six days I was in the area surfing: tubes, turns, and some failed airs! The staff is super nice and let me keep my bag inside the shop while surfing which was nice peace of mind while I was out in the water. The guys speak Portuguese (of course), English, and some Spanish so communication was no issue. They also gave me a quick locals explanation of the carcavelos wave which helped me understand it faster than if I were figuring out the spot on my own. Fair prices for the boards and everything too. If I come back, I’m definitely going back to them.
