Itinerary

We will give you a basic introduction to surfing and get you standing up on the surfboard on your first class! The surf class includes board & wetsuit and you will be in a small group with qualified instructors.

What an amazing experience! Alex and his team were wonderful and made sure our family had a great time surfing for the first time. Bernardo was in the water with us the entire time and was great, and really took care of us including our 9 year old! Will def recommend to friends!

I had this class booked with the Salty Pelican Portugal and booked a second class for the next day right after! This is an absolute recommendation for anyone trying to get in touch with the sea or to improve their surfing. The team is super friendly and supportive, they stay with you through the whole session and help you navigate the waves and board so you can focus on your balance without knowing waves from the start. They adjust to your level during the class keeping you learning where you are at. November is mild and surfable, a recommendation, too! We'll be back!

We were a family of four--2 adults and 2 boys, ages 9 and 11. The surfing and instructors were excellent! We ran late for our class and Alex and the team were extremely accommodating. The kids said it was definitely one of the trip highlights!

Great surf school! The staff are really friendly and make your sessions enjoyable. I was able to not only improve my pop-up but learn some wave theory and make new friends. The beach is beautiful and it was a great place to learn to surf! Highly recommend!
