Overview

Experience this 8.5-hour bike tour with skip-the-line access to the Palace of Versailles from Paris. With your guide, ride around the gardens and canals of Versailles before you enter the Chateau, where you can explore the Hall of Mirrors and Marie Antoinette's chambers. This tour includes use of a bike and helmet, round-trip transportation from Paris to Versailles, a guided tour of King Louis XVI's apartments, and entrance to the Palace of Versailles.

Meeting points

This tour meets in Paris in a small park/clearing on Avenue Emile Zola opposite a café named "Café Regalia". The closest métro station is Javel-André Citroën (line 10). Use exit 1 (sortie 1, right side). Your guide will be wearing a Fat Tire Tours t-shirt and holding a sign.

Even though it rained all day, our guides made this very memorable. You really need a bike to get around like we did to the gardens and the Triananons. We even had a picnic lunch of things we each bought in the market. Our guides gave us a lot of the history, and after returning the bikes he took us to the entrance to the Palace of Versailles, including the King's Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors. It was an all day affair, though, so be prepared. And it is rain or shine.
