Overview

This is a unique experience that gives you a glimpse of how we Cretans produce honey and extra virgin olive oil locally. We have a history since 1920 that follows us from our great grandparents. They taught us how we should extract the best extra virgin olive oil from our local fields of trees. Live an experience that you may never live again. Such facilities are rare to find and we will saw you all the secrets of the bees and olive trees in order to produce honey and extra virgin olive oil from the aforementioned.

Itinerary

During your visit here you will be introduced to the process of how we extract extra virgin olive oil and you will learn things about the bee hives and beekeeping in Greece. At the end of your visit you will experience all the tastes of our products with some tips about them . . Enjoy the tour with all your senses:  listen an interesting and fascinating story from 1920 until now  see the core production process on site and also a movie about the workoutside  touchand enjoy the tour in small groups with hands-on moments  smellexposure to nature´sscents imagining sitting under old olive trees or picking Cretan herbs in rolling hills while sampling our tasty products  taste and explore the flavourful palette of 8 different types of honey and extra virgin olive oil  feelthe owner family´s pride & dedication producing according to family tradition since 1920 Take our unique products home recreating the atmosphere and sensation field during your Cretan holiday: Get to know our artisan products:  extra virgin olive oil, cold pressed  produced by our own olive trees  different flavours of honey  rich & excellent quality  amazing taste  extract in our own production

Friendly and informative and delicious!

My husband and I had a wonderful tour at Idiosmos. We toured the facility and got to see the olive oil making process and learned a lot about the bees and the honey making process also. The best part was the friendly staff and owners and of course tasting the olive oil, different types of honey and the local cheese. Delicious!

We had such a great time! Our guide Nancy was awesome and she was very knowledgeable about everything! Learning about the fees was fascinating! The honey was so good. We got several little bottles of it and also got two giant bottles of the olive oil. We are enjoying both at home. I would definitely recommend this tour and get Nancy if you can!
