Overview

Sian Ka'an is one of the largest protected areas in Mexico with a great natural diversity. The best way to discover Sian Ka' an is on board a boat which get you to explore different coastal and marine ecosystems that are habitat for many wild species of birds, turtles, dolphins, manatees and the great fish diversity of the Mesoamerican reef. Your tour includes transport from Tulum, lunch in Punta Allen and snorkeling equipment. The snorkeling activity is heavily dependent on the sea conditions which can unfortunately not always be anticipated until we reach the sea. Moreover, in the event of bad weather conditions, this tour is subject to cancellation.

Itinerary

After passing the entrance to the Sian Ka' an Biosphere, the guide will give an introductory tour on the biosphere. After driving for another 30 to 40 minutes on an unpaved BUMPY ROAD (this is an adventure!) you will board a boat in order to explore the coastal lagoons and marine ecosystems that characterize Sian Ka'an, and discover the fauna and flora that lies within it. IF the weather allows it, we jump into the water to snorkel on a section of the barrier reef system, home to thousands of aquatic species. Later on, we visit a beautiful sandbank the locals call "nature's swimming pools", where we take time to relax & swim. In the town of Punta Allen, located at the tip of the headland overlooking the bay, we have a local lunch and take some time to relax.

Day trip by boat to Sian Ka'an

We had an amazing tour, and with Pablo the tour guide. We learned about the eco systems and the animals who lives in it. We saw dolphins, birds, turtles and sting rays... the day was very enjoyable with good food and excellent bib, we highly recommend it.

This tour offered a great way to see the natural beauty of the Sian Ka’an biosphere. We saw many animals in their natural habitat and got to swim in turquoise waters. Our guides Jessi and Maca were fun and funny and made sure we had a great day

We saw dolphins, huge tea turtles, crocodiles, tons of gorgeous birds and a MANATEE ❤️. Our guides, Jessi and Maca were excellent - both super fun and informative. The food in Punta Allen was very good. I honestly haven't stopped smiling. I'm so happy I spent the money on this.

It was a fantastic tour - the whole team were fantastic (driver, tour guides and boat captains) We loved it, we saw so many fantastic animals in a really respectful and calm way. Our guides were clear on how to act so as not to scare the animals. I really liked how they brought snacks that weren’t covered in plastic and offered reuse water bottles. The emphasis on environment and animal protection, and not stressing the animals, was really amazing and made the tour very unique. Enjoyed it a lot. Thank you!
