Itinerary

  • Ruins of St. Paul's

The Ruins of St. Paul is a famous interesting place in Macao. The Ruins of St. Paul's were initially built in 1602. In 1835, a fire razed the church, leaving only the dramatic facade standing in four colonnaded tiers, complete with carvings and statues. Today, the Ruins of St. Paul's is a symbol of Macao.

    30 minutes

  • Monte Forte (Fortaleza do Monte)

Located right beside the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Mount Fortress was once the city’s main military defence structure, crucial in fending off the Dutches during the attempted invasion of Macau in 1622. The fortress was built by the Jesuits between 1617 and 1626 and has been demilitarised in 1976. Mount Fortress is part of the Historic Centre of Macao, listed as UNESCO World Heritage.

    30 minutes

  • Old Walled City

The Section of the Old City Walls are the remains of a wall that surrounded the colonial city of Macau, in Portuguese Macau, in the 16th and 17th centuries. The wall's construction is unique because it was built of clay, sand, rice straw, rocks, and oyster shells.

    30 minutes

  • Na Tcha Temple

The Na Tcha Temple was built in homage to the guardian deity. It is believed that it was built to put an end to the plague ravaging the region during that time. In 2004, the temple became one of the designated sites of the Historic Centre of Macau enlisted on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    30 minutes

  • Largo do Senado (Senado Square)

Senado Square is located beside New Road, the most prosperous street in Macao. There is a fountain in the center of the square. The whole square is paved with black and white Portuguese gravel, which forms a wavy pattern, with typical Portuguese style. The buildings around the square (the Civil Affairs Administration, the Tourist Office, the Post Office and the Hall of Mercy, etc.) are of Southern European architectural style and full of exotic scenery. The square's gravel road leads up to the Church of the Virgin Rose and the archway of Dasanba.

    30 minutes

  • A-Ma Temple (Ma Kok Miu)

A-Ma Temple is the oldest temple in Macao. It is located on the west side of Mount A-Ma at the entrance of the inner harbor at the southwest end of Macao Peninsula. Hundreds of years ago, fishermen set up a temple here to worship their protective goddess, Matsu.

    30 minutes

  • Nam Van Lake (Pass By)

The lake was once part of a bay (Praia Grande Bay), created when the causeway (Avenida Dr Sun Yat Sen) partially closed off the bay. The project to close the lake began in 1991 to attract more development in Macau. Nam Van means South Bay in Chinese.

  • Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre (Pass By)

The Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center, also known as Macau Tower, is a tower located in Sé, Macau. The tower measures 338 m in height from ground level to the highest point.

  • N/A (Pass By)

The land where the church stands was donated by the Senate of the Augustinians for the construction of the church, which was dedicated to the Our Lady of Penha of France. The church was then constructed in 1622 and became the property of the Augustinians until 1834 when they were expelled from Macau.
