Great company. They return emails very promptly, which makes it so much easier when making reservations overseas (US). You can just tell a well run company; when arriving they greeted us & knew who we were right away. They got us outfitted with our ebikes and explained everything. The employees are wonderful. San Sebastian has a wonderful bike network. It is so incredible well marked. Yes, we managed to get lost a few times, but that's the fun. Don't miss the worlds longest dedicated bike tunnel. Enjoy!

This was the first time I have ever taken a guided bike tour and it was an incredible experience. There were three of us who were all strangers who booked the tour and Anders who is the owner and acted as our guide broke the ice between us and made me and I assume the others comfortable. I had my own bike but the other two people who took the tour with me and were both regular cyclists used the bikes from the rental shop and said that they were excellent. We cycled out of San Sebastián and took the ferry in Pasaia (which was an experience in itself) and rode up the Jaizkibel which is a very scenic ride and is on the route of the Clásica de San Sebastián. We were given a lot of tips by Anders about how to ride the climb as well as tips about restaurants, museums, other rides to take, other towns to visit in the area etc... Anders paced the climb at a speed that the three of us could comfortably handle. We then cycled down to Hondarribia to have some Pintxos and a drink. We were then given 3 options on how to return back to San Sebastián either by train, around the climb or back over the Jaizkibel. We chose to go back over the Jaizkibel which meant that we arrived back into San Sebastián about 1.5 hours later than the tour should have finished but Anders was more than happy for us to take this route and again rode at a comfortable pace. I can not recommend this tour enough.

Would highly recommend this - I recently did the city tour with basque epic with Ander who founded basque epic. Ander is a really helpful, super knowledgeable guy who’s passion for San Sebastián shines through. Price is excellent value considering we got brand new city bikes, and complementary pintxo and drink for our lunch stop. I also rented a road bike separately for a triathlon from basque epic - again fantastic new road bike at a really great rate. Can’t recommend basque epic enough!!
