(Saturday noon, Sunday and Monday noon market will be closed so we will offer 2 more Pintxos instead). San Sebastian is a foodie`s paradise but if you want to find the tastiest food avoiding tourist traps, you need a local guide. Save time by heading straight to the places offering the most delicious local food and best wines. You’ll experience the sights and sounds of the city by foot. Eat enough samples and pintxos to fill you for the day (at least!) and learn about Basque culture and cuisine evolution. Earra! (Awesome!)

You will have your last drink in one of the bars around the church San Vicente. We love choosing different good ones supporting all of them. Let us know if you need help to reach the taxi stop.

    We will visit the famous Bretxa market to learn about the local produce and visit ham, olive and olive oil stalls. We will taste a corn-fed Iberian ham, top chorizo, local cheese, olives, oil and the famous gilda. In weekends we will have the Iberico ham and the amazing Gilda in a traditional bar.

Best tour ever

Stop searching. This is the tour you want and need. My wife and I had the great pleasure of touring with Jon around San Sebastián on what was billed as a Pinxtos foodie experience but was so much more. Jon had curated a tour that took in the market and some incredible ingredients, the early Pinxots examples, through some sit down restaurants with plated Pinxtos and some bar hopping Pinxtos on the go. The food was incredible but more so was the history lesson Jon gave us about the region, the ingredients, the food style, the people that prepare the food and own the bars, the farming methods and the culture that really brought the whole thing together in such a wonderful way. Jon is a wonderful host who clearly loves this region, the food and the people he comes across during these tours. We cannot recommend this experience and Jon highly enough. We turned up thinking we were going to try some local food but left with an understanding way beyond our expectations. Go ahead and book. Your future self will thank you.

Arantxa was outstanding!!! So much fun to be around. Her personality and her knowledge make for the perfect few hours sampling San Sebastian’s unique food scene. Really cool blend of history culture and food/drink.

My boyfriend and I booked the food and wine tasting tour with 'Earra' Jon and we don't regret at all! Jon is an amazing guide with a lot of enthusiasm, passing for San Sebastian/the Basque area and people! He showed us the market, the best bars and we tasted some amazing pintxsos and wines! We highly recommend Jon and this tour to our family and friends in the Netherlands. Thank you Jon. You are an amazing guide and person.

Great way to meet people and explore the city

I was a little unsure if the tour would be worth the price, but Jon went above and beyond and really did a great job planning to the tour. You are able to sit down at each spot to try some food and wine/cider, which Jon explains very well. You also get a chance to meet some people (I ended up having dinner with a new friend I met on the tour). Jon even randomly introduced me to the owner of a bar we did not even stop at who remembered me the next day when I went in for some food and wine. You also get to learn about the city and the Basque culture. I would highly recommend.
