    Experience classical music on an outstanding level at the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace. Listen to the works of Mozart and his contemporaries at a place where even Young Mozart performed. The Marble Hall is considered to be one of the most beautiful and historically significant concert halls of Salzburg and the world. Mirabell Palace with its gorgeous baroque Gardens was built in 1606 by Prince-Archbishop Wolf-Dietrich. The name is composed of "mirabile" (admirable) and "bella" (beautiful). Today selected classical concerts with exceptional ensembles, soloists and chamber orchestras take place at this unique venue. A majority of our concerts are played on historical instruments from Mozart´s time. Enticing concert programs promise an evening of culture and delight!

Beautiful performance in a beautiful setting

This is a genuine 5/5 experience. The evening could not have been better. Several Mozart pieces and one of Haydn played by a string sextet in beautiful surroundings

Intimate classical concert in an historic setting

We were blown away by the setting, the skill of the performers and the intimacy of the setting (only about 80 people). Concert lasted 1.5 hours, seating was comfortable and so was the venue temperature. We were fortunate to be in the front row so about 1 metre from the performers so could hear the lady on the oboe breathe (seriously impressive) and the lead violinist with the 6inch Louboutin's was a powerhouse!! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Beautiful room with wonderful music

Attend a classical concert in the evening in the marble hall. Approximately 45 minutes for each half with an interval of 15-20 minutes. Mozart & Vivaldi's Four Seasons was played. The solo violinist was brilliant( Florian Moser) He really bought the Ensemble together. Sometimes the audience would clap when it is just a pause in the piece being played but the musicians understand not everyone knows the complete work.. You can book tickets in advance or just turn up on the night the box office is on the first floor and is open at 7 pm. Casual dress but no short T-shirts. Jeans & smart tops ok. There are cloakroom facilities. A small bar. Photos are not supposed to be taken during performance but some people still take them. The Marble hall is beautiful & seating.is comfortable. The concert finishes at approximately 22.00 Staff welcoming & friendly.

You can't go to Salzburg without attending a concert, and this one delivered in spades. Of course Mozart was well-represented, and the venue added to the Old World feel. The musicians were outstanding and seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves. Wonderful evening!
