Whether you're sipping it neat or mixing it into a cocktail, rum has the power to evoke the tropical flavors and laid-back vibes of the Caribbean, where it has been produced for centuries. That's why tourists must visit our rum distillery and master class. Not only will they get to taste some of the finest rum available, but they'll also learn about the history and production process of this iconic spirit. learn about the distillation process, and witness the aging of the rum. But it's not just about the technicalities of rum production - our master class is an immersive experience that will allow visitors to truly appreciate the art of rum making. They'll meet our master distiller and hear about his passion for creating unique and flavorful rums. They'll also have the chance to try their hand at making their own flavours, and learn how create the perfect drink.

Meet us at the academy rum distillery. opposite loose cannon bar. once you come through the security gate we are immediately on the left hand side of the road.

Itinerary

Traveler's will arrive to the distillery to participate in a 1 hr long class to make their very own rum. starting off with a rum tasting of our 6 locally made rums. participants will then proceed to create their very own mixture of flavours and mix in all necessary ingredients to bring home a full size, 750ml bottle with a personalised label. the shared class is for 2 people to use one still create one flavour and take home one bottle between them.

A special day for my husbands 60th, Being a Monday we were the only ones, but that made it even more special! Such a great morning, lots of rum tasting and creating our own rum! Our lovely teacher was fabulous and we had the best time! Highly recommend!!

Great activity- learn and make your own rum!

The rum making experience was a blast. The person who gave us the class was very instructional and helped us figure out what flavors we liked. You get to try multiple flavors and mix your own to make it exactly what you'd like. It was really a great experience and a ton of fun. And you get to go home with a full bottle of your own flavored rum. Highly recommend- it's a great way to spend some time.

We had an amazing experience learning about, tasting, and making our own rum with the Rum Academy! We booked this class separately from our cruise- if you do this, note that you will need to find transport across the island and it can take an hour with traffic so plan accordingly! This was a very interesting and unique experience and so much more fun than a day at the beach. In addition to taking home a bottle of our own mixture, we also bought a bottle of Rum Academy’s lemongrass ginger rum that was our favorite of what we tasted. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this experience. Where do I begin? The class takes place at a breathtaking location by the beach. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. You can tell that they have a real passion for their work, which is why the class is so enjoyable. Best of all, we were able to create an amazing customized bottle of rum to commemorate the experience. The staff even personalized my label for my birthday. Walk, don't run, to book your reservation.
