Overview

Get ready for a royal day out at the Reggia di Caserta on this private guided tour. Its fusion of a sumptuous palace and one-of-a-kind gardens rivals European contemporaries and will keep you entertained for hours. Inside, climb past the marble lions of the Grand Staircase and discover the secret of the painted dome – a false ceiling used for a musical surprise. Continue to the Royal Appartments and Throne Room decorated with frescoes, baroque furniture and lots of gold. You’ll also see the Queen’s Bathroom, ‘an escape from court gossip. Follow the turquoise pools of the gardens up to the immense Great Waterfall. Your guide will bring classical mythology to life as you encounter countless sea monsters and ancient gods in the form of sculptures and statues. Snap pictures of the exotic plants of the English Gardens and go off track with your guide to discover hidden statues, secret stairways and caved pools.

An Italian Palace-hidden gem!

This Palace is a must see! The ingenuity and the beauty are outstanding! Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the Palace-the history, the art and the architecture. She was fantastic!

Great tour of a beautiful palace

This was a wonderful tour and Esmeralda was a great guide. Our train from Naples was cancelled and we went to another town and had to take a bus from there to Caserta. We were an hour late and she kindly waited for us. She had a ton of knowledge of the palace and made our tour so interesting. I can't imagine walking through without a guide to describe what you are seeing. All in all a great tour!

We met Alessia out the front and she guided us from one amazing statue, staircase, artwork, room, hallway, fountain and garden to another! It was a highlight of our trip to Italy and one I will recommend to anyone. It was just my husband and I so there was no need for headphones. We were able to stop and ask questions whenever we were taken by something. The castle and it's symmetry is unbelievably beautiful and, as you go from room to room you see glimpses of the cascades through the massive windows but nothing prepares you for when you arrive by bus at the top of the three kilometre cascade and look down to the castle and beyond! Alessia came with us on the bus and walked us through the beginning of the English Garden - a welcome coolness on a hot, late August day. We were very glad we brought our large umbrella as it made the walk back to the castle bearable. I would definitely visit again having done the tour.

We had the BEST tour guide, Maria Tarantino! She gave such detailed information and answered all our questions. This Palace is a hidden treasure, absolutely breathtaking! Definitely would recommend this tour!

Our guide was by far the most knowledgeable and charming guide we have had on our entire vacation. She explained everything so well and shared in our enthusiasm and excitement as we toured the palace. We will definitely recommend this tour and hopefully with her (her name is escaping me as I write this ).
