Itinerary

Robben Island Museum

You will be picked up from the address you provided (within our pickup radius). you will take a shared transfer to the Silo District, where you will be met and taken to the Nelson Mandela Gateway. Here, you will take a shared ferry to the Robben Island Museum, where you will be greeted and given a tour of the island by a former political prisoner. (Please be aware that our driver/tour guide will not be going on the Robben Island Museum tour with you.) The total duration of the excursion, including hotel pickup, is +–5 hours. You will be driven around the island by bus for the duration of the tour, after which you will see Nelson Mandela's jail cell and make the long walk to freedom. Your tour guide/driver will meet you at the Nelson Mandela Gateway entry when you return to the Clock Tower Building.

Fayical was really professional and prompt. He arrived at my hotel precisely when he said he would. He explained how my tour would go and ensured I had everything I needed. When I got back he was already waiting at the agreed meeting point. He then took me back safely to my hotel. Overall a very pleasant and wonderful experience

A deeply moving and educational experience. The Robben Island tour provided a unique glimpse into South Africa's complex history and the struggles of its people.

Historical visit , needed to see the prison , and to know and see where the long walk to freedom, has started.

Faycal Buchana was so helpful from the initial WA communication and welcoming me at the point of pick up. He patiently waited for me to be scanned to the boat and off we went to the Island! He also waited for my return and we chatted about the service!! Great host!!
