Itinerary

  • District Six Museum

    Pickup from City hotels Open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. Visit the District 6 museum to see how 60 000 people of all races were displaced when bulldozers demolished their homes View of actual District 6 area Township tour of Langa, visit a sangoma (witch doctor) visit a creche and buy some handmade souvenirs from the local centre Creche closed on Sunday visit a Church Service Head back to the Waterfront for lunch or driver return guests to hotels If guests are on the PM Robben Island Tour, Guide will meet at Silo and walk over to the departure point. Guide do not go to the Island as there are a guide on bus and at prison.

Essential tour for better understanding the human condition

Each guide provided excellent general and personal insights that enabled us to better understand South Africa’s recent history; the nature and personal impact of apartheid; and the current environment. Luduomo’s (sp?) willingness to share life in the settlements was appreciated and valuable to us. Faziela went above and beyond in enhancing our experience, keeping us informed, and providing transportation way. She used her local connections to give us access to amazing views of Cape Town. The District 6 area and museum, the township visit, the tour of Robben Island — such essential places to visit and all made better by two excelkent guides

Both guides where nice and had a lot to tell about capetown, apartheit, their lifes and the townships. it was super interesting, we learnd a lot, opened our minds axlittle more and most of all, felt safe the whole time!

The visit to Langa and the church service was outstanding . We wandered around for a good hour with our guide . It was really fascinating and the church service was uplifting. Our Langa guide and driver were outstanding too -very knowledgable . Robyn island was also a great trip -tour guide in bus no 1 was outstanding and our prison guide was fascinating -Fazelia who chaperoned me was the best ! Thank u to everyone-a tour to remember .

Took me around the city to some highlights before the island tour. What an incredible guide with an incredible spirit that keeps you moving. She was so willing to spend as much time as I wanted at places and took me to an incredible coffee house too. One of the best guides I’ve had. Thank you Faziela for a great day of memories.

Words cannot describe what we saw during our tour to the townships. Very unique experience which can make some people uncomfortable but is a must do.
