We felt rushed on the tour

On our particular day which was New Year’s Eve at 1 pm we felt rushed throughout the tour we didn’t feel like we had enough time to take everything in. But as for the tour itself it was a good tour we learned so much and we enjoyed ourselves on the ferry to Robben Island and our bus guide was amazing and the guide at the prison was a very friendly guy he had actually was imprisoned on the island so he could tell us first hand how it was in there when he was there it was an amazing experience we wished everyone would be able to experience Robben island

This was an incredible tour. We happened to have two guides. One who was a guard, and Nelson Mandella was one of his prisoners. The other guide was a former prisoner, who new Nelson Mandela. What an education. We toured the areas that Nelson Mandela was confined to. After the prison tour, we got a tour of the whole island from a motor coach before boarding tje ferry back to the mainland.

This was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend going on this tour. It’s Rich in history and even though it’s a prison has amazing views.

Meeting and hearing the stories from the ex political prisoners was so heart breaking yet authentic and real, an experience you cannot afford to miss if you’re in Cape Town!
