Overview

It will be our pleasure to welcome you to Rhodes! Join us on this half-day private tour and visit the main highlights of Rhodes town and the beautiful white village of Lindos. Tour in the comfort of a private MINIVAN along Rhodes’ beautiful East coast and discover its rich history and beauty. You will have the opportunity to visit the Mandraki harbor and the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Then we will pass by the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes for gorgeous city view. After that, we will continue on the East coast of the island and reach the traditional white village of Lindos, 50km away. You will have more than 1 hour stay to explore it on your own and visit the beautiful Acropolis on the top. Then we will return back to our starting point. Kindly note that our drivers are not official licensed guides. If you wish we can book one for your group with an additional cost. Itinerary

Medieval City (Pass By)

We will start our tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes - the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO. If you want we can extend the duration of the tour with 1 hour and you can have also some free time to go through the Old town and explore it on your own.
Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki port is situated in the new part of the town where you will see some very impressive monumental buildings built by the Italians. Here at the harbour entrance is believed that once stood the great statue of the Colossus of Rhodes - one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. We will stop for pictures of the area.

The Church of the Annunciation

The Church of the Annunciation in Rhodes is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and spectacular chandeliers.

The Acropolis of Rhodes

Once we reach Monthe Smith Hill you will enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the city and the seashore, and also visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the impressive open-air ancient Stadium and the Amphitheatre.

Village of Lindos

Little before we reach the beautiful traditional village of Lindos your driver will stop you at a place for a fantastic panoramic view of the village together with its Acropolis on the top. After that, we will leave you at the main entrance of the village. You will have at least 1 and a half hours to explore it and of course, visit its famous Acropolis. The driver will wait for you at the exact place he left you.

Acropolis of Lindos

The Acropolis in Lindos is the second most popular Acropolis in Greece after the Parthenon in Athens. It was built on a steep rock 116 meters height overlooking the Blue Sea and the village of Lindos below. The Acropolis is dominated by the massive temple of Athena Lindia, dating from the 4th century and it attained its final form in around 300 BC. (entrance fee 12Euro/per person and not included in our price)

Agios Pavlos Beach

A stop at the picturesque St. Paul's Bay is also included. It is claimed that St Paul landed here in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. There is a small church built there after his name. We will make a stop for pictures to capture this stunning view.

Amazing views

The tour was incredible. Vasilis was our guide. He was very entertaining and took us to places with amazing views. We were taken to a spot at the top of a hill where you could see the Anthony Quinn beach on one side and another beach I forget the name that was spectacular and hardly anybody goes to. We had lunch at the end of the tour at a place by the beach and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend taking this tour.
