If you stay at a hotel which is not centrally located in Guangzhou, extra fees may apply, contact us for more details with your concrete info(such at number ... of travellers, date of travel, hotel address), thank you. Here's my suggested sample itinerary(7 hours) for first time visitors in Guangzhou: Pick up from hotel; Baiyun Mountain(electric car go up and cable car come down); Sun yat-sen Memorial Hall; Six Banyan Temple; Lunch at a traditional Cantonese restaurant to try dim sum; Xiguan old house community&Lychee Bay Park; Flower city square(Guangzhou Opera House,Guangzhou library,Canton Tower.etc); Drive back to hotel. Other popular tourist attractions are Yuexiu Park(Five-ram Statue, Zhenhai Tower), Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, Chen Clan Academy, Shamian Island, Canton Tower, and so on. Linger around the Xiguan Old House community and Lychee Bay Park where you could see the traditional Cantonese style architecture "Qilou Building" and Wooden Sliding Doors, interact with local people with Cantonese opera show and "shuttlecock" kicking by feet.

Have a walk on Flower City Square in the new downtown of Guangzhou, view the landmark "slim lady"-Canton Tower, "UFO"-Guangzhou Opera House and "Sailor boat"-Asian Games Park on Haixinsha Island, go into Guangzhou Library to see the advanced equipment like the "book shower machine" and so on.

I got the chance to hire Xaq as our tour guide and translator during our recent visit to Guangzhou and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I really enjoyed seeing and learning from Xaq all about his hometown. He was also able to converse most fluently and in different languages. Xaq is also very thoughtful and careful not to overwhelm but this does not mean that information is brief, you just simply need to ask to find out more and more - which I did! I can’t wait to return and when I do, I’ll be sure to seek his assistance once again.
