Saona Island was beautiful. I really enjoyed the snorkelling & the place with the Starfish was great. The crew were also fabulous; one of our group had mobility issues & they went above & beyond to help him! Not too many on the boat either! I fully recommend this trip!

We (4 adults) had an awesome time on this catamaran! The trip was very well organized. We had only 20 or so people on the boat so we had lots of room to move around. We saw other boats that were packed full. Our guide was exceptional - very friendly and personable, and kept us on track. The food was good & plentiful. The island of Saona is beautiful with a very nice beach. I think my favorite part was the snorkeling. We saw a couple large starfish. I would highly recommend this!

10/10. This was our 2nd time going to Saona and while the first time was a nice trip this one was 1000 times better. Lola was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, very respectful to animals on the island and in the ocean. You can tell she loves her job. She was just fun to be around and made the trip for us. It was the most peaceful and stress free time myself and my husband have been in awhile. If you're looking for a party boat this isn't for you. But if you're looking for a nice relaxing time with your significant other or family, then book this trip.

This excursion was well worth every penny. You may notice that it is more expensive than others, but I promise that you will not be disappointed. The tour is capped at ~30 people while others pack you in like sardines. We had a beautiful boat and an excellent crew, all while having so much room to spread out on the boat. Our pickup was on time and we were briefed before getting on the boat. Lola was our guide for the day and she was EXCELLENT! We couldn't ask for a better guide. She was so personable and friendly, and made sure that everyone was well taken care of. Enrique was also such a nice and friendly gentleman and was there to help in any way possible. Combined they made the perfect duo. We had a great ride over to Saona where we were one of the first boats there. We stayed for a while before heading back to the boat to a fresh lunch. The crew prepared lunch for the guests that consisted of chicken, beef, salad, pasta, fresh fruits, and drinks. It was so delicious - I'm still thinking about it. Something I really like about the company is that they care about protecting the environment. They remind you to not touch the ocean life, including starfish, so that it will be preserved for years to come. As you can imagine, tours can definitely take a toll on this. So having a company that is an ambassador to protecting nature is pretty cool. Overall, this was an amazing experience and my personal favorite Saona excursion (I have done quite a few different ones over the years). If you're looking for a party boat, this may not be for you, but if you're looking for a great relaxing and educational expereince, this is where you need to book. 10/10 would recommend! We had a fabulous day at Saona Island. My brother in law has mobility issues & the Quetzel guides & crew went above & beyond to ensure that he was not only able to make the trip but more importantly, he was able to really enjoy it. The number of passengers on the boat are restricted so it’s more of a chilled affair; that’s not to say that the rum wasn’t flowing! The snorkelling was really good; amongst other things, we saw a ray & a puffer fish. The island itself is stunning - I could have stayed there for hours but sadly there’s not enough time. Lunch on the boat was simple but lovely, in fact the cooking of the steak & chicken surpassed anything we had in our hotel & the rum soaked cake was a real wow! The final stop was to snorkel where the starfish are and we saw some beautiful coloured ones. It was a day all 5 of us absolutely loved & it will be a treasured memory. I’m only sorry that the trip to Catalina was fully booked otherwise I would have gone on that one too! Thank you Quetzel - you were amazing!
