Overview

The Langkawi Southern Island Tour is a popular destination for local and domestic tourists, especially during holidays. It takes explorers to the south of Langkawi, exploring beautiful seascapes like limestone cliffs, fjords, and sea stacks. The tour includes swimming in Pregnant Maiden Island, cruise to Singa Besar Island, and enjoy the beach at Teluk Cawi or Beras Basah Island. This tour is on a private arrangement only and is a maximum of 8 passengers per boat.

Itinerary

  • Dayang Bunting Island

    Embark on an island hopping tour to explore well-known islands south of Langkawi. Take a trip by explorer boat from Pekan Rabu Jetty to your first stop, the Pulau Dayang Bunting or Dayang Bunting Island, where you can trek a short distance to reach the legendary Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden). Spend an hour here observing the calm lake that is fringed by a verdant forest and mountains. Dip in the mystical lake that is said to be infused with powers by a celestial princess.

    We continue on to Pulau Singa Besar (Island of Big Lions). Here we will witness majestic wild eagles soar at close range. There is no need to disembark as the boat will drift in the waters. 

  • Beras Basah Island

    The tour reaches its zenith with a stop at the pristine beach of Pulau Beras Basah. Soak up the sun and appreciate the briny tang of the sea as you will not get this anywhere in the city. Go for another swim if you like before heading back to the hotel or opt to further explore the island of Langkawi.

Fantastic Southern Island Geopark Tour with Junglewalla!

We had an amazing experience on this tour and were incredibly lucky to spot dolphins! Our guide, Fatin, was fantastic—sharing so much interesting information about the local wildlife and nature. The tour took us to the beautiful Singa Besar Island, where we enjoyed a swim, and then to Pregnant Maiden Island, where we swam in the stunning freshwater lake. The short 10-minute walk to the lake was easy, even for young children. Our 5-year-old loved it! A great adventure for families—highly recommended!

We had a fantastic experience. Maysi was a very knowledgeable tour guide and presented the information in a fun and engaging way. The company seems very environmentally ethical and we liked that they don’t feed the animals. The driver was excellent which meant we felt safe and could enjoy all the amazing flora and fauna

This eco tour is filled with loads of great views along with informed guide.Understood a lot about mangroove and it's habitat. Company practices sustainable tourism and I truly appreciate their cause. Eg. Not feeding Kites and monkey A must do experience at Langkawi.
