    After your pickup in the morning, around 09:00 am from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki enjoy a comprehensive Meteora tour for about 6 hrs, seeing all the area of Meteora. Enjoy the visit to the Holy Monasteries You will be transported with comfort and safety, by our brand new, luxurious, minibus or car, towards the cliff-top monasteries. Our English-speaking tour leader will be with you to give you all the information you need about the area, share with you a vast amount of knowledge, and help you to visualize why and how the first monks managed to establish one of the biggest monastic communities in Greece on top of these unique rocks. Enjoy the best viewpoints and with short walks, he will explain to you all the geological phenomena that had to occur so these impressive rocks could form.

Meteora with Christos

Christos met us at the port in Thessaloniki and took us to see the monasteries at Meteora. He grew up in that area and was able to take us to places we would not have been able to find. Not only did he know the area, but he knew the history. Because of his careful timing we were able to see 3 monasteries. Then lunch at a very nice outdoor Cafe, I belive it was in Kastraki. The back to the ship. In all it was a 12 hour day. We really liked Chris and would love to have him and his family visit us.

Meteora with Meteora Thrones was fantastic

Meteora Thrones went above and beyond to provide a personal trip for us. We were staying at a resort where other companies wouldn’t pick up from and provided us a private tour to enable us to see a bucket list location. Our guide Nancy was good company, knowledgable and flexed our day to suit us and other tourists that day to ensure we visited at the best times. Awesome experience and awesome customer service! Would definitely recommend.

Great way to experience, Meteora

We had a wonderful experience with our driver “Sake” and our local licensed tour guide “Georgia“. They both shared a wealth of knowledge with us. Georgia went into one monastery with us and gave us a wealth of explanation of the fresco’s. Sake Gave us a lot of information about the local area, geology, etc. We learned a ton of things from both of them which we would not have known otherwise, highly recommend doing Meteora with this agency. We also did not feel rushed.

Nancy was an amazing tour guide and person. Knowledgeable, helpful, and overall wonderful. She showed us all the amazing sites and knew the best order so we avoided crowds and did the most challenging steps first. I hope you are lucky enough to get her as your tour guide.

We had a lovely time with Nancy, she was very knowledgeable about the area including how the rocks formed, how life at the monasteries is like, etc. She showed us pictures of one that can only be visited twice a year. I had the feeling she really wanted us to have a great experience :)
