Overview

Escape the Las Vegas heat and enjoy a day kayaking on the Colorado River. Drive yourself to the starting point at Willow Beach, then take to the water and experience a different side of Sin City. On your guided tour, you’ll see stunning Emerald Cave, the sheer cliff walls of Black Canyon and enjoy a short hike to an overlook with spectacular views. Also included are complimentary snacks and bottled water.

Meeting points

Meet @ Primitive Craft Beach. Drive until you see a dirt parking lot on your right and water on your left. You will see our orange tie dye kayaks on the dirt beach to the left. Entrance Fee $25 per car, National Park Pass=free entry NO Uber/Lyft/Taxi Only recommended for those with a vehicle.

Itinerary

  • Willow Beach Marina

    Make your own way to the departure point where you will need to sign a waiver before starting the tour. Guests will have a chance to make any last minute purchases or use the restroom before departing to the river. The activity is 3 hours long on the water.

    Paddle upstream into the narrow channels of the Black Canyon on your fully guided tour, and scour the banks to spot a variety of wildlife, including native Desert Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles and Coyote. Learn the history of the river and its many uses over the past 100 years from our knowledgeable guides as they lead this 4 mile out-and -back paddling tour. Enjoy a complimentary snacks and bottled water and enjoy the river as it unfolds before you. You will paddle back to your starting point at Willow Beach to complete the tour.

Just amazing

We weren’t sure what to expect weather wise. Turned out to be very beautiful out. We had Jamaica. She was super easy to get along with, gave us plenty of information about the area and was very accommodating to the entire group. We will recommend this company to anyone coming to Vegas in the future. I think we will try the full day tour on our next trip out and request Jamaica again!

This was our second time that we visited Blazin' Paddles on our trip to Vegas. We spent the day with Jamaika and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything about this trip is great! Awesome kayak adventure to Emerald Cave on the Colorado River. We had a perfect weather day and the trip was relaxing and fun! We saw mountain goats up close on a short stop for a hike and snack (they provided). Highlight of our week in Vegas!
