    This movie set is located on a family run farm, the tour would reveal how this picturesque farmland was transformed into the Shire from Middle Earth. Discover the rolling hillside, walkways and Hobbiton holes from the movies. Experienced guides will guide and give you interesting facts about how the movies were made. See live the Hobbiton Holes, the Green Dragon Inn, The Mill and the Party Tree. Your Middle Earth adventure will end with a complimentary ale, beer, cider or ginger beer at the Green Dragon Inn.

  • Waitomo Glowworm Caves

    The Glow worm known as Arachnocampa Luminosa, is unique to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as your expert guide will provide information on the Cave’s historical and geological significance. The caves were formed over 30 million years ago and comprises 2 levels. The upper level is dry and includes the entrance to the caves and formations known as the Catacombs. On the lower level are stream passages and the Cathedral, walk from the upper level to a 45 minutes boat journey through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. Walk through the majestic Cathedral Cove famous for its acoustics.

Kris was an absolute delight! He has so much knowledge to share and was fun to converse with. He took care of all the details, so we could sit back and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend him.

One of the best private tours that we have taken, from the time that we booked our tour, we were kept informed of the bookings as it was reserved and then paid for on our behalf by our tour guide Krishna with helpful tips of our visit to not only to the Hobbitton movie set and the Glowworm caves but of other attractions around New Zealand that we learned from Kris, a very helpful and kind kiwi, I would highly recommend his services and would be sure to use his services in the future

The Secret To A Smooth Sight-Seeing Day!

On our first trip ever to New Zealand, it was critically important to us that we had a chance to see some of the key unique attractions and understand better the local life, wildlife, and history. As part of that, we booked a bigger “private” tour on a bus. But at the last minute, we decided we’d be much better off with a more intimate and comfortable experience. Alas I was reluctant because of the significant additional cost. But my wife pushed me to upgrade us, and I’m so glad she did because, thankfully, we were swept away on an amazing and amazingly comfortable day! Kris was a wonderful steward of all of the vehicle, tour destinations, and the country. Not only did he provide some wonderful conversation and commentary on all aspects of the land and the landmarks, he also went above and beyond to rearrange parts of the day on the fly to ensure we had VIP access and the best part of the experience. If you’re looking for the best way to tour around Auckland and see the sites with the secret shortcuts and stories in tow, connect with Kris and his team!

Kris with Black Car was a terrific guide. He was on time, organized and planned the day incredibly. Everything was on track but we didn't feel rushed or stressed. We will highly recommend him for an enjoyable tour
