Uluwatu Temple or Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of six key temples believed to be Bali spiritual pillars. Is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level. This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island western shores. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances. Balinese architecture, traditionally designed gateways and ancient sculptures add to Uluwatu Temple appeal.

What makes the Kecak and Fire Dance special is that the accompanying music is provided by the human voice, the gamelan suara, a choir of a hundred men or more sitting in concentric circles, swaying, standing up, lying prone as the story develops. Amongst the swaying masses the voices of the storytellers can be heard telling the unfolding tale. The story is a fragment from the Ramayana, the Hindu epic which finds its expression in many forms, not only in dance, but also in painting and carving.

Our driver, kadek is very friendly and helpful. He is very informative about our trip and the history of uluwatu. The view of uluwatu Temple is stunning!

Great tour! Our driver Hari was punctual, communicative and knowledgeable. We had a great time seeing the temple and highly recommend the fire show. Dinner on the beach was great!

The tour was amazing! My girlfriend and I were very pleasantly surprised with the temple, the views, the fire show, and the restaurant (as well as the monkeys). Our tour guide, Kadek, was extremely helpful, kind, friendly, and attentive during the tour. We would highly recommend taking this tour if you are looking for more of a cultural experience and a romantic dinner ending.

Dancers were great. Awesome entertainment. Driver was very professional. Unfortunately traffic was horrendous and missed seeing temple up close.
