Excellent afternoon. The weather wasn’t the greatest as was windy and foggy but our guide did a great job showing us around key sights.

We had the best time as a family without our toddler and baby! It was the perfect way for us to see Hakone. We also appreciated that our guide took a few pictures for us along the way since it’s always a little tricky to get one of all of us together!

My partner and I only had two days to spend in Hakone so we wanted to make the most of it and our tour with Kumi checked every box! Kumi picked us up right from our hotel and immediately whisked us away to see some of Hakone’s most beautiful sights. We visited waterfalls, shrines, and the beautiful Lake Ashi and Hakone Ropeway. Seeing so many beautiful sights in just one morning left us feeling amazed and breath taken. Kumi told us many interesting stories and gave us all the history and information we could ask for. We were delighted with this tour and would recommend it to others.

Sunny was very accommodating and took us to all of the spots we wanted to go to. Our visit to the Hakone Shrine was quicker than usual, so we took a pit stop at a beautiful driving range! He is very hospitable and knowledgeable. When we visit Japan again, we want to tour with him again!

Thanks to our fabulous Viator guide, Kumi, we were able to visit 5 fabulous sights in just one morning. Hakone is mountainous with narrow roads making sites difficult to access without a car and time consuming by bus. We never could have covered so many sites nor understood their significance without Kumi. We experienced Hakone Shrine, Owakudani volcanic valley (where we also tried delicious black eggs), Lake Ashi, Tamadare Falls, and Choanji Temple. We never felt rushed; Kumi allowed us to savor each experience, take lots of photos and made sure to take group photos for us. Kumi was delightful, provided historical information, local perspectives and tips for other things to see. We had a wonderful time with her and recommend that everyone reading this review sign up through Viator for a tour of Hakone with Kumi.
