9:00 am: You will arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. 9:00 am: Explore the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunitions etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. 11:00 am: Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch by the river, consisting of authentic fried spring rolls, chicken and beef dishes and soup. 11:30 am: Say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

We did the early morning speedboat tour to chi chi tunnels. The best and most efficient tour of our trip you get what you pay for, we didn't expect such good food for lunch and water fruit and baguette on way. You definitely miss the crowds leaving early on speed boat. Worth the money.

Brilliant trip, escaping the roads and the crowds. The very comfortable speedboat was cool and the fruit and cold drinks very welcome. Following a really delicious lunch we spent around an hour and a half in the very well explained tunnel area, and even those of us not flexible enough to go into the tunnels had a really interesting experience. We left far better informed and ready for the gentle trip back down river. Anthony the guide was charming and knowledgeable, looking after us all really well. Top marks!

What a wonderful tour. The boat ride up the river was a welcome relief from the heat and our tour guide, Tin, was absolutely wonderful with his insight into the history of the war and the tunnels. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Boat ride to tunnels is the way to go… faster and much more pleasant. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Les Rives is a great tour experience.
