Your local street food guide, who has a huge passion with Vietnamese street food will pick you up at your hotel by taxi then leave the tourist area behind and start your food adventure to non-tourist district, a street food paradise, while tasting ‘Banh Xeo” and “Banh Khot” – The Central, and South’s rice pancake with a lot of fresh Vietnamese vegetables. Stroll along a street known for its barbecue seafood vendors and head to a local-favorite restaurant to taste the best "bo la lot" (beef in wild betel leaves) or "banh canh Trang Bang"- special pork noodle soup or thick noodles soup with codfish pie which is the speciality from Street Food Man Vinny’s village. Your immersion in mouth-watering food continues as you head to the alleys of food in the heart of street food district and sample a tasty “bot chien", Pan - fried rice cakes with egg and spring onions which is cooked by a local chef with over 25 years experience and then quench your thirst with a sugar cane juice mixed with a little orange. Next up on your food adventure is Banh Mi - Saigon Baguette. You will experience the perfect fusion of 4 delicious flavors just after the first bite. Walk into the heart of district 3 and discover the old apartments has the name Nguyen Thien Thuat, which is home to dozens of famous Vietnamese street food that will tempt your stomach. On the corner of Seafood alley, you will sit like the locals, and get munching, crunching, sipping and slurping BBQ seafood (if you are allergic to seafood, it will be replaced by BBQ meat). Have local drinks with Saigon special beer or soft drink, mineral water and homemade Vietnamese rice wine. Cap off your Saigon street food walking tour at the night flower market by enjoying an amazing dessert which is coconut ice cream, longan ice cream or flan cake with caramel and coffee. The tour was truly exceptional. Our guide was not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly personable, which added a wonderful touch to the experience and made it all the more memorable. The selection of food was diverse and enticing, and the drink pairings complemented each dish beautifully. With so many delicious options to choose from, it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite—all of them left a lasting impression!

Our guide introduced herself as Catherine the Great, and she was! She met us at our hotel right on time. She took us in a van to our first dining experience. After our sixth and final experience, she took us in another van back to our hotel. In between, we walked through fascinating neighborhoods we never would have visited, and ate delicious food we never would have tasted on our own. Catherine spoke great English, she was wonderful, and we had a great time!

This was the best thing we did in Ho Chi Minh! Catherine our tour guide was friendly, informative and introduced us to new foods. I would highly recommend the tour!!
Perfect Night of Eating in Saigon

What an experience. Where do I start. It’s got to be with Thin who was an incredible ambassador for Saigon and the local eateries including a Michelin recommended eatery. We were celebrating one of my wife’s major decile birthdays. I thought trying over 10 local dishes at 6+ eateries in Saigon would be a once-in-a-lifetime birthday experience. We started with the Michelin recommended eatery where we created our own fish and bbq beef rice wraps. Thin made sure our fish fillets were deboned and taught us how to create the wholesome and farm to table wraps. Next we went to a noodle eatery. Followed by a quick stop to a sugar cane grinder kiosk with fresh sugar cane drinks that were delicious. We then went to a local cookery that had amazing bbq shrimp, delicately spiced scallops, along with fried chicken. Another highlight was watching them make us fresh Logan or coconut with avocado ice cream. We ended the night at the flower market. Thin made my wife’s birthday so special. We had door to door pickup from our hotel to District 3 eateries. Amazing 4+ hour private tour experience. The company is Street Food Man. They are awesome at hand selecting the eateries.
