The Frauenkirche (or the Church of Our Lady, in English) was originally completed in 1743, however it was completely destroyed during the second world war. A hallmark of Baroque architecture, the Zwinger Palace hosts many museums and art galleries. You can take a stroll through the palace gardens and admire its architecture or visit one of the many galleries inside.

Both the Semper Gallery and the Semperoper were named after its architect, Gottfried Semper. This opera house combines both Baroque and Renaissance architecture and houses many statues of famous writers, such as Shakespeare or Goethe.

Bruhl's Terrace is also known as the “Balcony of Europe”. It stretches along the Elbe river and has several statues and museums. It is usually packed with tourists walking around and enjoying the view to the Elbe.
