I cannot say how enough how wonderful our driver, Radu, made our day in Rome. My husband has significant mobility restrictions (uses a rollator walker because of cerebral palsy and a previous spinal fusion surgery). Despite our driver never having had a tour for someone like my husband before, he was able to really accommodate my husband's disability, getting us as close as possible to so many fantastic sites in Rome, and driving us past a few more so that we could catch a glimpse. During our day, we managed to visit St. Paul's Outside the Walls, the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola for a view of the city, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, eat lunch in the Piazza Navona, and tour the Colosseum. He even convinced the police to let him drive us all the way to the entrance of the Colosseum and to pick us up at the exit (if handicapped, bring your handicapped placard with you for free access to museums and possibly an ability to be dropped off closer). He made sure I knew how to pre-book the tickets for the Pantheon on the official website that was new since I had last been in Rome so that we didn't have to wait in line, and even offered to use his credit card to do so when I was having trouble doing so (we ultimately didn't need that as I booked the free tickets for disabled people).
In addition, we drove around Vatican city, catching a glimpse of St. Peter's Square, drove past the Castel St. Angelo, and even got us as close as possible to see the Spanish steps. It was an incredible full day tour. Cannot rave enough about how wonderful this tour was for us. Worth every penny. Would recommend to anyone with limited mobility in Rome (the van was not wheelchair accessible, but great for someone like my husband who can walk but uses a rollator or walker).
