Overview

Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish! First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking! You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special. After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella. Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

I went with my adult granddaughter and we had a wonderful bonding experience together. We both learned how to cook paella and will try to duplicate the experience at home. We were treated to several different tapas and over 4 kinds of wines to experience along with the paella. I recommend this experience when visiting Valencia.

We really enjoyed the paella cooking class! Dani and Tamas are really good hosts, creating very comfortable and nice atmosphere. We had a lot of fun as it was our first experience with paella as well as with different flavours from Valencia. Highly recommended! :)

An amazing experience

I am from the United States and traveled to Valencia on vacation. The entire experience was amazing. I particularly loved how we went to the central market of Valencia to buy particular ingredients and got to experience the bustling market with fresh meats and fish and produce, as well as plenty of other local specialties. Then we cooked the paella and our cook, Daniel, was very helpful and very enjoyable to learn from, before we got to enjoy our paella, which turned out VERY good. His assistant, Megan, who prepared the tapas and wine was also very sweet. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The tapas and bottomless wine were a nice plus. I would wholly recommend the entire experience to anyone visiting Valencia from anywhere, as we also learned a lot about the history of the city and paella itself. A must have experience for Valencia! Worth the price!
