Overview

Experience the 75-minute walking tour of Ottawa that has been captivating visitors and locals alike for more than 20 years. The Original Haunted Walk is led by the best of local storytellers, dramatists, and amateur historians, sharing some of the most hair-raising and spine-chilling real-life ghost stories from the area. Follow along as they lead the way by lantern light to their favourite haunted spots. From January to March, we offer a special winterized version of the tour complete with the comfort of cozy indoor stops along the way.

Absolutely fantastic and memorable, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. I would highly recommend this walk to everyone heading to Ottawa, if not for the spooky tales, then for the history behind everything.

Some chilling and hair-raising tales

Wonderful ghost tales narrated by an experienced tour guide. Her knowledge and personality contributed that much more to the period costume she wore. Perfectly sized group which made the experience even better. We soldiered on in very chilly weather (mid-late Dec).

Haunted tales under the Christmas lights.

The Haunted walk was fantastic. We really enjoyed it! Caroline, our guide was wonderful and has a real knack for telling the tales of the haunted buildings and areas in downtown Ottawa. It was a very cold but we dressed appropriately. We love seeing all of the beautiful Christmas lights in many of the parks and on the buildings too. We will definitely do another Haunted tour with them!

Informative, humorous, at the same time respectful to the deceased. I am sure the guide has told the same stories a million times before already, but they still managed to make everything engaging. Thumbs up!
